Anyone been to Cancun Lately?

after my trip to vegas this may. couple of my buddies wanna go to Cancun, but i havent been since 08 when i graduated high school. Anyone knows what is like in June? I remember it being slim pickins on "talent" since most girls dont feel safe in Mexico with drug wars as of late. They were looking at Riu Cancun and Oasis Cancun. Its five single dudes, so didnt know if anyone here could let me know what the party scene was like in the summer.... clearly no vegas

I like vegas a lot better think it has more to offer. Higher quality clubs, everything.
Cancun has the hotel zone strip with some clubs that I think overcharge for what they are.
Also playa is a short easy bus ride away has a little different vibe with some smaller clubs.
Cancun is more like hotel properties and playa is a walkable town.

i completly agree with you... just my buddies and i only go to vegas.. they wanna change it up and go somewhere in the carribbean where there are some single prospects to mingle with

also been to cabo
on the other side of mexico
It has some hotel properties by themselves and a walkable town. I noticed more of a bar scene then a club scene in cabo.
In cabo there were a lot of local girls working out of shops offering $20 an hour messages. I must have been approached over 10 times walking around town.
Cabo is a pretty good distance from the airport. Its best to take the local bus into cabo also in cancun.
I saw people really get overcharged for cab rides.

if your thinking Caribbean also have been to San Juan PR and St Thomas and St John USVI
San Juan seems like a get a hotel room on the beach and just hang around the hotel place. I went into the city and there wasn't much happening.
St Thomas similar
St John is remote you fly into St Thomas and then take a boat over to St John. Very laid back. Trunk bay was stunning 60% of the island is a national Park.
