Hey All

Less than 2 weeks out.

Interested to know from Foreigners re: foreign exchange. I am taking some cash with me, but wanting to exchange some $AUD to $US when over there.

Whats the best way to go about it when over there?

I have no idea with regards to the Australian market, but I find that the cross rates FX places charge you, compared to the actual cross rate you get at an ATM to be a bit of a rip off. I normally just take a large enough sum out at a local ATM to make paying those fees a better deal than getting a shitty rate at an FX place.

That, and I'll be going for the usual JC trip organiser tip of putting the table bills on my credit card and getting cash from the group.
