Too soon to book a hotel for EDC 2015?

I'd say it'd make TOO much sense for EDC to be 2 weekends. To add on to the reason's artedm already mentioned...

- If there's a demand for it, why not provide the supply? Coachella has successfully done two weekends for the past few years with the 1st weekend selling out and 2nd weekend probably closer to 80% sell out. Line ups for both weekends are essentially identical. Most people go to only one but there will be the hardcore people that will do both weekends.

- This could actually be a way of DECREASING traffic as opposed to how it is now. Insomniac can do this by selling say 20% less tickets it normally does for the 1st weekend. Traffic would therefore be 20% less compared to prior years for both weekends.

- Productions and logistics for Insomniac would be easier with the amount of people spread out over two weekends.

- And of course with more people being able to attend there's a lot of $$$ to be made for both Insomniac and Vegas in general.

I know Im late on this post, but just an idea for the future. Why not book hotels for every weekend close to the suspected dates, and then just cancel the weekends it doesnt fall on when its announced? Then you have the cheapest possible rate. You dont have to worry about rate hikes after its announced.

Not 100% if im going yet, but I'mma gonna book it. $480 out the door at the Rio for 2 queens with my Total Rewards.

Plan is to come in Thursday night and take the late flight back to California on Monday night. I still want to keep the room all day Monday to sleep though so I booked it through Tuesday.

I figure the room can sleep 5-6 easily. Although it's a little off strip, probably best bang for buck deal considering the other rates.
