  • Best Websites to Book LAX to LAS?

    Hey Guys

Just looking at arranging my travel from Australia.

Now... looking at things its better/more flexible for me to book to LAX and then boox the LAX - LAS separately.

What websites are recommended (US based sites) should I look at to get cheap LAX - LAS?

    Thanks for the input

    cheapest way would be bus
take the LAX Flyaway bus to union station $8 and take a megabus.com or greyhound.com to Las around $25 or less each eay

    For flights
    check
    kayak.com
    southwest.com

I had to do a similar thing flying into LAX from Dubai and asked the same question some months ago, got the below response

As far as timing, I wouldn't be the one to ask because I always book everything way to early.
Website was helpful and I also checked the usual expedia / kayak sites. In the end I just ended up booking the most convenient flights based on timing not price, I figured after flying across the globe it wasn't worth sacrificing more time in Vegas with a 4hr layover in LA to save a few bucks! I also ended up booking direct with the airlines as some of the small print with these websites caused me concerns if my flight into LA was delayed and I missed my LAS flight.
An 8,000 mile journey is always worth it when it ends in Vegas!

you should get pretty similar results from most travel search engines IMO. are you flying back out of LAX to Australia?

if so, i'd look at possibly booking 2 one-way flights versus a RT as sometimes you can build a cheaper RT ticket with better times.

also take a look at JetBlue and SouthWest which prob won't show up in some of the searches with the usual places.

        Do you have Avios miles?

I definitely feel your pain on this one. Lol just make sure to leave yourself a good amount of time to get through customs and to whatever terminal you are trying to fly out of for do serif. I've been left before (though I pulled my Sad Tired Girl face out and got on the next flight with no issue), cause as far as the next booking is concerned- you simply missed your flight, they don't care munch WHY you missed it.

I use Southwest most of the time, but trying kayak or Orbitz or something like that can't hurt. Virgin and Jetblue are good also, and they won't always pop up on general search sites, so check their sites directly. I've been trying to use Virgin more lately, but that's to add to my V Australia points.
I'm not bitchy, I'm just drawn that way.

Hey Tara. Last time out via LAX it took me like 30mins to get through customs. I was on Virgin Australia landing in terminal 5. Thankfully it was quick... however, some say it can take 3 hrs.

Realistically is 2hrs plenty to allow for going through customs and terminal txfer through Tom Bradley
