  • Sydney Nightlife Help!

    Hi Everyone,

I am traveling to Sydney for 4 days from November 21st-25th. I am trying to get an idea of where to go and where would be a good place to do BS one night. Any help would be appreciated along with if anyone has an idea of how much it'll set us back.

    Thanks

    Hey buddy.

Bottle Service is not that common in Syd... except for Marquee which you need to hit up.

Also "home" night club is also a big one in Sydney.

Actually since Marquee came along most clubs in Sydney have adopted bottle service. I might as well type up a bit of a Sydney nightlife guide while I have the time...

The two unmissable clubs in Sydney are Marquee and ivy.

      Marquee

Read my thread here. In a nutshell:

      - Three rooms. Main (EDM), Boombox (Hip Hop/Open Format) & Library (shares music from Boombox if it's open).
      - Best venue for BS.
      - Vegas-ish vibe.

On Friday 22nd Timomatic is playing - not sure how well he's known overseas but he's a massive singer here in Aus. I imagine this will be a mostly open format night.

Saturday 23rd is Christian Luke - go on this night if you want mainly EDM. Email [email protected] for pricing.

      ivy

      - Huge, gorgeous venue with multiple levels. Main is almost always EDM, Poolclub is deep house, Changeroom is hip hop/open format.
      - Pacha every Saturday night. This is the night to go as the production is huge. Very crowded though especially if a big name is playing. AFAIK artists for the 23rd haven't been announced yet.

There is also a dayclub every Sunday called Marco Polo at the poolclub. Runs from 12PM til late. Presales and early arrival is key otherwise you'll be in a massive queue. Good fun though. There are 4 cabanas here that can be booked for BS.

      ----------

Kings Cross is littered with small-medium sized clubs and bars. All are open on Friday, Saturday - some stay open on Sunday (Hugo's and Beach Haus). Sort of the "red light district" of Sydney. Most do BS with usually a 1 bottle minimum. Trademark, Hugo's, World Bar, The Club and Soho are some of the more popular venues.

Shame you're not here the week after, almost every DJ will be in town for the Stereosonic festival.
