Dress light - leave the sports jacket at home; go for comfortable but stylish clothingEastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Either be rich or good looking (or mooch off someone who is one of those). If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

It'll be more than $400 for LDW but the minimum you get quoted is what you spend on alcohol not just to rent a cabana and yes it's worth it cause it'll provide shade and its not a closed box so it won't turn into a sweat box. Some venues have fans inside each cabana or some type of air circulation so it's nice and cool. Just staying out of the sun while consuming alcohol helps from getting burned out before your night even begins.Originally posted by LVNOOB View PostI have looked into cabanas but not sure if its worth it at $400 a pop. Will they actually be cooler or just turn into a sweat box.2013 Calendar: March 20-21 (Treasure Island). May 24-27 (Cosmopolitan). June 23-25 (Mirage). July 18-22 (Cosmopolitan).

Cabanas generally require a min spend... and those start around $1500 (at the good pool parties) and run way way higher than that...depending on the pool and day of the weekend. That number is your minimum spend on food and beverage. On top of that assume an added 30% in tax and tip then another couple/few hundred in host tip for arranging it.
Just getting out of the direct sun is nice but as stated many have fans to help out too. You will be cooler in the cabana than in direct sun for sure. Now, being in the water always helps as well.Wedding @ Riviera '06 • March Madness @ Mandalay Bay May 2010 • Bachelor Party @ Palms Jul 2013 • GF's Birthday @ Cosmopolitan Oct 2013
