Vegas fight weekend

Thinking about heading out to Vegas for the Mayweather/Alverez fight from the 13-15th. What's the atmosphere of the strip like on a big fight weekend? Clubs increase prices? Obviously expecting an influx of people but is it usually a crazy amount? I was in Vegas for NYE a few years ago so I guess I kinda want a comparison to that time of year in terms of atmosphere etc..

The atmosphere will be good on the strip. I believe it's a Mexican holiday weekend and there will be lots of people in town. The club prices as far as I remember won't change unless you are going to one of their official after party's where you would then probably pay more. If you end up going have a great trip!

9/14 is Mayweather/Alverez
9/15 is Alejandro Fernandez
9/16 is Mexican independence day

Thinking back to Cinco de Mayo it's likely Tiesto will probably play two nights at Hakkasan and a day at wet.
XS will probably have a big name also.
There will probably be about 17,000+ tickets sold to the fight then all the people watching in casinos around town.
MGM will probably be jammed but other parts of the strip might be calm.

For comparison EDC weekend attracts 115,000 to the event + all the people who go for clubs pools.

I got flights booked for this weekend as well.. It should be good. Contemplating staying at Luxor again because the rooms are cheap and its in a good spot (LIGHT, Daylight, Wet, Hakk + the fight all within walking distance).

Also looking forward to my first NFL sunday in Las Vegas....

Definitely a bit busier around the fight venues and that sort of thing - but the overall atmosphere is not drastically different

I wouldn't exactly call it "prime," but a cheap option that is no longer in the middle of no where.
