  • Night club fashion tips for 31 year old male

Hello, I consider myself an attractive 31 year old fit professional male who has good fashion sense, but still wanted to confirm appropriate dress code for las vegas night clubs/gentlemans clubs. I have read the jack colton dress code info page from the home page, but would like some more specifics.

From the sounds of it, dress pants, a dress shirt and blazer is maybe a little too much for night clubs? not to mention probably hot when I am going June 30th?

If I wear nice fitting (no holes or extreme fade) from banana republic and a nice dress shirt and nice shoes is that good?

    My specific questions are:

What is the best type of shoe to wear with a nice jean and dress shirt outfit for Vegas? a black leather loafer? or full laced dress shoe? is brown or black better or does it matter? also can the button up with jeans be left untucked if it is the appropriate type of shirt for that?

I think I am mainly stuck on the shoes so any advice, links for visuals, etc. would be very appreciated.

Also, i did want to pack a blazer and dress pants to at least have one night out in Vegas feeling a little more high class LOL - is this ok or will i be out of place if i wear this to a nice dinner, show with my dad or club?

    Thanks!!

for pool party/xs nightswim- swim trucks / tshirt / flip flops
for nightclubs you want to be comfortable!! collared shirt- does not have to be tucked in- nice pants does not have to be dress- black shoes loafers fine not sneakers-
you will see few people at tables maybe in tshirt and sneakers dress code relaxed for table customers
you might also see some people in blazers but its likely to be hot and realize you might get drinks spilled on

To get a better idea of what guys typically wear you can go to different club's websites and click on the galleries of past events. Its mostly pics of girls but you can see some guys mixed in here and there. Most guys usually wear a dress/casual shirt untucked with jeans and leather shoes. I think the color of the shoe is really personal preference depending on the outfit. I've seen guys wearing 3 piece suits at night swim so its really just a matter of how fancy you want to go. As long as you look neat and clean your good to go.

I'm kind of a fashion snob and do fashion consulting for other guys so I'll give you some good advice...
NEVER wear black dress shoes with jeans. Camel brown is the best for jeans. Dark brown can work too depending on the Jean color. Get a really nice pair of leather dress shoes for jeans. No wing tips with jeans, go with a plain style, cap toe or quarter brogue. Also do not fall into the trap of square toes, rounded only.
You can definitely keep your button up shirt untucked IF it is made for that. The way the bottom stitching is done will clearly let you know if the shirt is meant to be tucked in. IF you leave it untucked and it is very baggy around the bottom, it isn't meant to be work that way.
You can wear some slacks and dress shirt if you want to but you would be better off with really nice jeans from Joes, AG or Paige. Believe me when I say that women know the difference between nice jeans and a $50 paid of jeans.Same goes with your shoes and shirt.

For the love of god don't keep your shirts untucked. Is it just me or is it an American thing? Tuck it in, put a belt around, and keep things impeccable. FOR SURE put on that blazer. That's not too much. I blazer-up everytime I go out in Vegas. I even have a pocket square

Clubs have amazing AC so don't worry you won't be too hot.

I don't think you can over dress really. I've had the best luck with women wearing suits. Some women will approach you and tell you are over-dressed just because they want to help you undress. Gives them an excuse to approach you and play with your tie.

If you are in good shape go to Topman (there is one in the mall across from WYNN) and get one of their ultra skinny suits. They are perfect for the clubs. You will look amazing and the suits are still light weight enough that you won't be super hot. Trust me on this one.

Just wear like a dark wash Jean or some chinos, dress shoes (I personally just wear chucks so it's more casual) and a sport coat/blazer that compliments your pants and you're good. And of course a button up. If you wear a tee make sure it's interesting, doesn't have to be busy and go with the v neck, but def put the jacket over that.
