It's been so long since last May. When will I be able to visit the beauty known as Vegas??? There must be a way...I must figure out how I can visit the Adult Disney World and enjoy the sounds of EDM...the ringing of slot machines and the abundance of insanely overpriced alcohol???
Last night after the wife gets home from her shift at the ER:
Wife: "So I was wondering....."
Me: "Yes..."
Wife "A few of us were talking about doing a cruise in April."
Me: "When?"
Wife: "Over the weekend of the 9th. We are really wanting to go for a week. Not sure when we leave and come back but you know about 7 days"
Me: "Really....what husbands are going?"
Wife: "None...girls trip."
And the gates of Heaven opened and a song of joy began to play...
Hark the Vegas angels sing
Glory to the wife, the Queen.
Peace at home and fun for all
Kevin will just have a ball
Joyful is this white man's life
Dreaming of the Vegas lights
Going solo he proclaims
At this age it won't be lame

And with that I scrambled to my laptop while she went upstairs to take a shower and actually started looking at the cruises to give her the dates, where she can depart from, locations to visit and such. She gets back downstairs after her shower
Wife: "You don't mind do you?"
Me: "Nope. Here's what I can find so far"
Wife: "Ok......................."
Me: "What?"
Wife: "uh huh......."
Me: "What?"
Wife: "You already know what you're doing when I go don't you?"
Me: Jumping up and doing my best Vanilla Ice dance....I'm going to Vegas....I'm going to Vegas...I'm...going..to....Ve...gas.....had to stop since at the age of 46 cardio is not a big thing in my workout repertoire.
Wife: "Anyone going with you?"
Me: "It's 10:30...I'll text the boys in the morning"
Wife: "I'll bet you'll be going on your own again like last year"
Me: "And I'll bet I'll have this trip booked quicker than you get locked in"
Wife: "Probably"
Me: "Definitely"
Needless to say I am locked in for April 7 to April 11 at Flamingo and so far the boys are not going, damn those things they call kids. Arriving at 12:40 PM on the 7th and leaving at 2:40 on the 11th. Solo it will most likely be but as Drew Carey once said....Vegas is everything that’s right with America. You can do whatever you want, 24 hours a day.
