Which would you choose? Friends (ages 24-28) want to go to Ultra but i'm trying to get them to go to LV in May instead. Any thoughts on this? I think i'd rather the change of scenery rather than standing in a huge crowd all day for 3 days in a row. Also they have never been to either before (ultra or lv).

It depends on the events you can get access to (for example, DJ after-parties at clubs) and the budget. Prices go way up both for Miami Ultra Weekend(s) and Vegas Memorial Day.

Given they've never been to either...I'd have to say Vegas this year....do Miami next year.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

I agree with BSM's post below..MDW in Vegas you'll get a lof of big name DJs etc in a nicer atmosphere. BUT, I went to Ultra last year and it was probably one of the funnest trips of my life! Ultra is an experience in itself and if you've never been, this is a good year to go, the lineup is insane...plus that whole week is miami music week so there will be tons of good pool parties during the day and shows to go to after ultra etc. if you wanted to switch it up. I say go to Ultra and also go to Vegas on an regular weekend when prices arent as insane as MDW.
