I'm 42 and have the appropriate belly. Otherwise I am tall, dark and handsome. Should I try and lose weight before getting there or just, to hell with it!?

Guys and girls all shapes and sizes go to the pool parties in Vegas. You won't get the boot or anything. I would only worry if you are there to find new "friends" If you are just there to kick it, you should be fine!

I always take advantage of "vegas motivation" to push myself harder at the gym. I guess it depends on how much time you have until you leave but it never hurts lose a couple pounds before you gain a few.

Definitely doesn't hurt to get more cut up. The 2 weeks before Vegas I usually eat big and do lighter reps, but more reps. Most weights I do until failure. I want to blow up those muscles and add a few pounds. But at the same time I make sure I do adequate amounts of calories to burn off all the fats.

My regular routine is when I focus hard on form and try to go as heavy as possible to improve strength and conditioning.

I buy the real stuff for everything, butter, mayo.. but I do use olive oil for my cooking. Just stay as organic as possible, and less processed as possible. I haven't gained any fat at all, and the calories are very easy to burn.

Amen man, the body processes "unprocessed" foods a lot easier and it's better for the body.

lol I think everyone should care how they look. I still can't believe the amount of threads I see on tripadvisor asking me why they can't wear shorts to XS. I m like homie, you need to get with the program.

Heh... I've definitely started noticing a social trend of guys caring more and more about how they look and women giving the ol' "i don't care, they should like me for me!" (obviously not all women... but enough to notice!)

Huh?!? Can't be a lot of girls because make up and other stuff is still a booming business. Plus I go to vegas all the time and attend pool parties where there are way more out of shape guys ...

I agree though about the guys! Its very nice they are becoming more fit, I hate it when I see a guy with bigger boobs them me, it hurts my ego!

I feel the trip advisor comment. clubbing is a culture, and its odd when people don't get the fun of dressing up for a good time. I like dive bars too, but when I go out to the club I want to look my best and I apreciate it when a guy has nice clothes and doesnt troll around in shorts and a cut off tank top. There are some girls who don't get it either, to be fair.

For the guys, Do you enjoy dressing up for the club? Or is it something you just HAVE to do?

i like guys that put some effort in.. good hygene, dresses smartly...

But not TOO much effort in.. like getting eye brows plucked, etc.. a little too metro for me.
