Brown rice and broccoli don't bother me. Coming up with different ways for the chicken is a challenge. I've seen good results from the 30 day She might be a girl but she makes you work.
Dear Captain Morgan.....I've seen the pics we need to talk!

hmm I dunno.. thats the gf's job to get creative w/ the cooking. She can make it like 5-6 different ways. We eat it with rice, organic pasta, indian food.. in tacos.. etc ...you name it.

Especially the white meat ... seriously gets boring and dry!

The GNC stuff ... they will always push that to you first b/c they get comm. bonuses off of each GNC product they sell.

I would go for Optimum Nutrition ... good stuff and it's not that bad.

          • My favorite protein for post work out is ON 100% Whey. You get pure whey protein with no crappy fillings and stuff. I usually have a Myoplex MR shake for a afternoon snack and ON Casein before bed. That is the protein recipee that has worked for me.

ON's Nitrocore 24 is a blend of ten proteins (ranging from fast-acting to slow-release) and has fiber and flax seed (for Omega 3s) in it.

It's perfect if you want to replace your dinner with a protein shake. And, best of all, it tastes brilliant (the cinnamon roll = winner).

                • I think anyone who knows anything about lifting will use ON - no fancy marketing gimmicks (Nitrotech's LOL GAIN 15 POUNDS OF MUSCLE IN FIVE MINUTES), no junk added that will make you fat (Muscle Milk anyone?!), no high-sales pressure (seriously, GNC, saying you use "science" doesn't make your product any better).

                    This is what I recommend:

I'd highly recommend trying ON"s "Natural" Whey.

There's just something better about it...

Unless you're bulking, there's really no reason to... it's fat, fat, and more fat. Seriously, I think fewer than 50% of the calories come from protein.

                              • Ooh, gonna have to disagree on that one.

Glutamine is just an amino acid; good for muscle recovery. No contribution to weight gain. Best part - new research shows glutamine may actually help burn fat.

It's all the oil that makes muscle milk bad. Let's look at the ingredients list:

Muscle Milk's ingredients: EvoPro(TM) (Micellar Alpha And Beta Caseins And Caseinates, Rich In Alpha-Lactalbumin, Whey Isolates, Whey Peptides, L-Glutamine, Taurine, Lactoferrin), Lean Lipids(TM) (Trans Fat Free Lipid Complex Consisting of Canola Oil, Sunflower And/Or Safflower Oil, MCT's, L-Carnitine), Fructose, Cocoa Powder, Maltodextrin, CytiVite I(TM) (Vitamin And Mineral Premix Consisting Of Vitamin A Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Folate, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Niacinamide, Pyridoxine HCL, Cyanocobalamin, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Di-Calcium Phosphate, Potassium Iodine, Potassium Chloride, Ferrous Fumarate, Magnesium Oxide, Copper Gluconate, Zinc Oxide, Chromium Nicotinate), Natural And Artificial Flavors, Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose, Soy Lecithin. Allergen Statement: This Product Contains Ingredients Derived From Milk And Soy.
In essence - protein, oil, sugar. Nice.
