Barcelona Night 1
We’re staying at a hostel that has a rep for being a party hostel. Two nightly happy hours (6-730) and (12-1). They also organize trips to whatever club is the spot that night as well as do some pub crawls. So of course there is a pub crawl that night. We get nice and toasted on the pub crawl, relax a bit at the hostel and then get even more toasted at the 2nd happy hour. Leave for the club around 145. There’s a section of clubs right by the beach and we first go to Shoko but it’s not great so we head over to Opium

Opium is cracking but me and Dike have separated from the rest of the group somehow – not unusual as we were dubbed Double Trouble. We’re so done at this point that my drunk ADD is really bad and we’re not closing deals. We end up outside under the umbrellas talking to a mixed group of Americans and this cute chick is like we just got on the EDC tip but she says I missed out but she gives me her facebook info to hit her up. Me and Dike end up talking to this group of Swedish girls but we are greatly outnumbered and the less attractive ones get bored and start blocking. The ones we are engaged with tell us to meet them at the beach tmrw at 11 and give us a specific location.

Miguel comes back all hype and is like “I just had candy on the beach with Big Tone”. I’m pissed he didn’t include me but it wasn’t his fault bc he had no idea where we were. The night (or morning) ends uneventfully and we head back to the hostel.

Barcelona Night 2
(We were not close to meeting the Swedish girls as we didn’t get up till 1230 and didn’t make it to the beach until about 430)

Dike, Sophie and two ppl we added to Team America end up going to drink absinthe on the beach while me and Miguel decide we rather hit the club again. Before we hit the club we have a riveting game of hostel sponsored flip cup. After I choke in the anchor spot we’re down 2-1 (best of 5) and everyone is clowning me especially Miguel. We win the next game as Miguel chokes just like I did and then we win game 5 after a pair of cute Canadian chicks were added to the game. I slightly injure my hand in the celebration
Tonight is Opium’s night so the hostel is headed back there after getting nice at the hostle. When we first arrive we both have to break the seal. We get to the restroom and this Swedish guy asks us if he can ask us a favor and we’re like sure. He says “It’s my birthday and I have a lot of candy and I can't finish it myself, can I share?” After being left out last night my hand shoots up immediately like an excited little kid.

So now my energy is through the roof and me and Miguel are hollering at females left and right. We meet this cute group of girls from SoCal of all places. Buy them drinks and chop it up with them but they end up not interested. Later on we find Chris and Big Tone at a table poppin bottles of champagne. At this point my hype has worn off so I end up falling asleep at the table. But every time a hip hop song comes on I wake up and start dancing in my seat but falling back asleep shortly after the song. This became my signature move to the group and was a minor phenomenon.

After getting my 2nd wind (thank you champagne), me and Miguel are on the prowl again in Opium as it’s getting pretty late (had to be 5 or 530). Just when I think the night is a failure this Indian chick from Canada runs up to me and has her hand down my pants within 10 seconds. We make out while she continues to tug me. Miguel is ready to go and asks me if I’m cool staying by myself and I say yeah.

The chick wants to go to the beach so I’m like sure. We step outside the club and after a quick detour to get some candy she tells me “I wanna give you head on the beach” so of course I oblige. The timing ends up perfect as we finish as this is happening –543209_290346551061514_369642067_n.jpg

We then spot her friends on the beach. There’s a 4 or 5 of them including the bachelorette (gotta love bachelorette parties) and one random Spanish dude that is on the same wavelength as me. After chilling with them for a minute folks are ready to bounce (it’s about 630). We go our separate ways and I end up lost on the way back. The hostel is only 20-25 minutes but I end up walking for close to 1 ½ hours. I finally give up and take a taxi but there was a miscommunication and the taxi drops me off in the wrong spot. I have to walk another 30 minutes and when I get back I realize I left room key in the taxi. Worst taxi ride ever. Also on the way back I had noticed my man region is hurting a little bit but I don’t make too much of it. Later on in the shower I see that my tip is red and I’m like wtf. It becomes a running joke that I was raped. Also after a couple failed closures in France me and my friends have the revelation that “I don’t close, chicks close me”

Barcelona Night 3
There’s another pub crawl and party favors make an appearance.

I start to feel good so I buy some of these -red-led-light-up-flashing-sunglasses.jpgfor 5 Euro. Everyone is pretty nice so people start doing my new signature dance
We get back to the hostel in time for the 12 AM Happy Hour and just chop it up with people. I end up talking to flip cup Canadians while Miguel and Logan are talking to this other group of Canadian girls

The hostel gets us organized and to this club Bling Bling that’s not in that beach area.
Night is pretty much a blur but me, Miguel, and Dike were feeling pretty good.

The few things I do remember
1) One of the flip cup Canadians took my LED sunglasses and never gave them back
2) I got slightly emotional and professed my love to the other Canadians for being so nice in spite of being hot because “most hot girls are mean”. No idea if this was prompted by the theft of the glasses lol

3) Singing Young, Wild, and Free at the top of our lungs -

Us and the nice Canadians had flights to catch in the morning so we go back to hostel quickly pack and then head to the airport. All while still on that 4 part cocktail.

Barcelona is a great place. Women are amazing and they know how to party. Ibiza, its the party capital of the world in my eyes. What a place.

I did Barca last February when I was living in Spain, and you just brought back so many happy, hazy memories! We never made it Opium, but our last night at whatever club we went to on the beach was epic!

Ideally, Vegas in two weeks will live up to my Spain partying experiences. I'm going with some people I studied abroad with, so at the very least they're all on board to party until the sun rises

Yes! I'm going for my 21st birthday from the 7th through the 11th. We at the University of Georgia do know how to party hard! With all the bars in walking distance to one another, dollar power hours, and footballs games that provide a weekly excuse in the fall to start drinking at 8 am what do you expect? It creates a culture of shenanigans.

I used to live in Atlanta so I hit up Athens from time to time with friends that were former Dawgs. Fun times
