  • Liquor store opening in McCarran Baggage-claim

Hurray! I'm sure the mark-up will be a little higher, but this will help those who want to buy alcohol for pre-gaming on their Vegas trips without making a stop at the store.

That's great news indeed. I got excited first hoping trhat it'd be ready for the invasion.

It's open now and it's called the Liquor Library.

"The Liquor Library isn’t a typical duty-free store found in airports. It still charges sales and liquor taxes, and it’s geared toward arriving visitors wanting to pick up supplies for the vacation ahead."

Located near the baggage claim area in Terminal 1.

Has anyone else brought theirs with them instead of purchasing locally ? If so, from how far ? I was also thinking of doing the same. I figure there should be no harm in doing so as long as you carefully pack them so that they don't bang into each other. Anyone try this and have it fail - i.e. bottle(s) break ?

my friends have done it, flying from detroit. just pack it carefully and you're good to go. one even wrapped theirs in bubble wrap.
