New years in Amsterdam?!

Anyone ever been to Amsterdam for New Years? Me and a friend have booked to go from the 29th of Dec to the 3rd of Jan and we don't know where to start with where to go on new years eve, any ideas?

I was there one New Years, but was stuck in Schipol the entire time =(
