Not buying girls drinks......Pimpin or Cheap?

I was telling my buddy at work about my solo trip this past week. I was telling him about two nights when I walked out with a different group of girls and didnt buy them a single drink.

He proceeded to call me cheap and said you need to buy them drinks especially if you are there to get laid. He was not joking and we went back and forth. My argument was why? If you can keep a girl around with out buying her a drink, how is that cheap?

My excuse was a story from 2 trips ago. Met this girl...we were talking for a good 20-30mins, or atleast the time it took me to down two drinks. She was giving me crap for babying my drinks, and I asked her where her drink was. She said to hurry up and finish mine and then we'll go take some shots.

I buy first round. As I am paying her friend comes up and asks her what she is doing. I know what would normally happen with this cockblock, but I just laugh it off. Its too late for that, already made out and we've been hanging for a good 30mins now. I hear her friend say "just promise me your gonna take the shot and leave".......Im not thinking anything of it, she seems to be wanting to kick it some more.....sure enough, her friend grabs her after the shot and says they gotta go. And off they go! the next time I see them, I am already dancing with another girl so I have no idea what would have happened if I went back up to her.

My friend really has me thinking im cheap now. What is your feeling???

There's no rule you have to buy drinks when you hit up some chick. Man if the deal is sealed in 1 min and youre dancing or heading up to the room, who cares about a drink. hehe.

Your not cheap. Why would you automatically buy a girl a drink in vegas, half of them are after a free drink, they do it all night long....result..cheap night for the girl plus drunk.

What you have experienced, is the 'slut rule'. If your a girl, your best friend has a number of in built girl like functions. One of them is to ensure your best friend doesn't go home with some d-bag, and then the nex morning he doesn't call, and friend feels awful she has been used...not doubt yet again and feels like a slut. Best friend is there to filter out the d bags and ensure her friend, if she's going home with a guy, is a decent guy. The trick is, you must befriend the best friend, let her know your a decent guy, talk to her, make the best friend like you. The mistake you made was not engaging in conversation with the best friend. Street cred though, when she saw you next time dancing with another girl, she would have thought one of two things:
1) he can get women, Im more attracted to him now
2) he is a d-bag, he's already trying it on with another girl, my best friend was right. Oh well plenty of other guys will chat me up whilst in vegas.

lmao. this is why if I was a hot girl, as much as I would feel bad for a split second, I would just have to worry about the flight and hotel and get all my drinks and food taken care of. hahahah I could go like x5 a year.
