Plus, I like getting high-fived at the table. Those are rare for Nicholas. lol
I've had a lot of nights where other players "convert" to the darkside after they see my stacks grow...nothing better than a table full of darksiders!

The cheers come far more often, thats for sure.

One night I can remember had like a 50/50 split of darksiders and pass-liners ... everyone was a good sport and at least half the people were happy every roll.

I always play darkside but make sure I am respectful and not an asshole while I'm winning if others are losing.... and if I'm losing and others are winning I would expect the same courtesy.

very interesting strategy being dicussed here.

Nicholas - how much do you typically bet on the odds bet? Are you always just betting to win 1unit (so on a 4/10 point, betting 2units at 1:2 odds). Do you vary the size of your odds bet depending on how well you are doing or do you stay consistent?

To start usually if I have $5-pass $5-Don't Pass and the point is 4/10 I will bet $20 Don't Pass odds (to win $10) or $15 on 5/9 to win $10.

If I am up and have banked some money I will increase these numbers. Last time I played was just a few days ago, I had my $100 seed money back in my pocket and another $180 in front of me as the "profit"... Since I was up a bunch I was betting up to $100 on 4/10 and $75 on 5/9 ... maxing out the 10x at the table.

so betting to win 2x the pass/dont pass bet typically.

$5 tables i imagine you are mostly playing off strip or at some of the smaller places?

I'm just wondering what kinda seed money I would need to do try this strategy out at a strip casino on a weekend with $15 mins. I'm assuming $300 is the least I should start with? I just wonder how many swings I could get through in the event the shooter hits a few 4/5/9/10 points. If they go come out, then point on a 4, that is what... net -$60 (effectively just the $60 odds bet to win $30 and the $15 pass and dont pass bets cancel each other out).

Most of my playing is at Indian Casinos in Wisconsin.... while in Vegas with higher limits I usually like to do $100-$150 for $5
$200-$300 for $10 and so on...

Playing my usual style at a $5 table, I've never gone out or had to buy back in to this day.... I've been down to my bets on the table + $15, so had I lost that roll I would have been in trouble.... but I've always climbed back up to at least even

Sidekicknicholas...why am I not surprised you are an engineer? I couldn't stop reading this from start to finish. I love craps, and now I think I'm loving your "system" of hanging out at the craps tables, scoring "free" drinks

Do you tip your waitress every time she drops off a drink for you, and how/when do you go about tipping the dealers?

Sure do... Waitress is usually at least a $5 to start the night, then at least $1 every other time, more often than not more.

Dealers get money everytime I bank money to my pocket. I usually try and bank every $50, so every $50 I win they'll usually get $5-$10....

When I've said I've never come out behind, that is including tips.

I've played and $10 and $15 tables too and it works just the same, only need a 2x-3x larger pile of seed money.

refresh my memory on what you do if the point is a 6 or 8
90% of the time, nothing... I break even on that point and wait for a 4/5/9/10. Sometimes if I'm up I'll toss $6/$12 etc etc on the 6/8 opposite of the point -- (Point is 6, I'll buy the 8) and then take my money 1st/3rd/5th hit and press it up on 2nd/4th/6th etc

Tried this method on Saturday , started with 100 , went up 350 in about 45 minutes then a shooter decided to basically make like 4 points in a row and I was 10 on don't pass and 10X odds.

I finished down 200. cold table you win, hot table you lose.

That is why every time I get another $50 in chips above the seed money, I pocket it. You only need $100 to play this way, so don't even risk the other stuff.

$350 in 45 mins - Lets say you go up $100 every 15 mins.
                              I'm playing and 7/8 mins later I have $150 - I pocket $50 - Can't touch it again....
                              and 7/8 mins later I have $150 - I pocket $50 ... can't touch it
                              and 7/8 mins later I have $150 - I pocket $50 ... can't touch it
.... this goes on for 45 mins.

45 mins later.... I still have $100 on the table playing like its my first roll and have $350 in the pocket. I lose that "seed" $100, oh well, I'm done and walking away with a profit of $250.

This is the key to this (and a lot of gambling). Sounds like this method does work, you just have to be diligent on pocketing winnings. I'm gonna give this a run in 2 weeks when I'm in Vegas.

Actually, it only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

A good friend would bail you out of jail, but your best friend would be the one sitting next to you saying, "damn that was awesome".

I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.
