Can anybody tell me what the guidelines are for free drinks at the casinos when you're playing at the tables or slots? Since I've never known exactly what I can order, I never call my liquor ... I just say vodka and cranberry, for example. Can I call a vodka and Grey Goose? Or a Bacardi 151 and coke? Does it vary from one casino to another? I appreciate any responses.

I have not been to any casino in Vegas that won't make you whatever you ask for. Granted, I haven't asked for anything too crazy..but yes you can always ask for a Grey Goose Cranberry and is always free. If they actually give you Grey Goose--I have no idea.

It's probably the house whatever. After a few mixed drinks they must figure your taste buds are shot for the evening anyways

i really just think it just depends on what you order and where youre playing. i think they are willing to give you most premium liquors if you specifially ask for it. what ends up in your cup might be a different story. some of the more expensive stuff might be reserved for certain pits.
ive never asked for blue label or a 30 yr scotch but i know certain pits will have certain types of water. like on the floor they might give you some quarts branded with the casinos name and in the salon they might give you fiji or voss. im wodnering if thats the case with liquor too. although im sure the louis only reserved for their top players.

I've had the same experience. If ordering 'name brand' stuff though I usually try to tip to waitress a bit better than if I'm just having a beer. I also try to remember pleases and thank yous... seems to make a difference sometimes between watered down rail slop and a nice healthy drink.Originally posted by FireMedic85 View PostIve always ordered Crown and Coke with no probs...
Never offer an open bar to a Wisconsinite... =)

Same here, I've asked for Grey Goose + 7up and it was what I expected. I do agree with being polite and tipping the waitress which will make her return faster, not sure if the drinks get stronger though but after 6 or 7 drinks, it probably doesn't matter.Originally posted by WiscoBrad View PostI've had the same experience. If you order something above your limits they'll either tell you the bar doesn't have it or they'll give you something else.
This is really only true for some of the pricier scotch / whiskey's. You can get McCallan's 30 at the Baccarat Tables but you are getting served Jack Daniels if you order it playing $0.25 slots.
Around the $100/hand range most of the exotic stuff becomes available, but having one person playing $5/hand of black jack while 5 buddies stand around and watch will get you just about anything you need to get drunk so long as you tip. $1 / drink minimum - $3 / drink if order often.

See my post right below you. It helps if you can taste the difference like myself and some friends, but don't be surprised if you get the 12 years anyway. Unless of course you're playing high enough.Originally posted by foramp37 View Posti always ask for "glenlevit 12 years", but i never asked for 15 or 18 years old. Will ask next week when i get there...

it does vary across casinos.... I've heard wynn/veneitin serve better alcohol upon request, while for example, harrahs properties tend to save better alcohol for diamond members and high limit players.
it never hurts to ask the waitress if a certain alcohol is available, but you're also never guaranteed to receive your request

When I'm really trying to tie one on I play VP and play at the bar, and tip minimum $5 a drink... that way you actually see the bottle, and know its the same liquor they're pouring for the folks who are just walking up and getting a drink for 12 bucks.
This last weekend I ordered Mandarin & Sevens probably 8 times before I saw he was making them with Grey Goose L'Orange.
In about an hour I lost maybe 20 bucks, tipped another 80, and had a couple bills worth of Grey Goose.

My buddy got flustered ordering once and ordered a gin and vodka, which they brought him on the rocks, haha.....

I've had a waitress tell me straight up in a casino that if I ordered GG/Red Bull she was gonna bring me Absolut because that's the best they'd let her (I was playing cheap slots). I ordered A GG/Red Bull with a different waitress later to test it and she didn't say anything about it.
Sooooo they probably won't tell you and just bring you whatever is my guess.
Solution with me was to order Jager/Red Bull. Ain't no generic Jager motherfucker.<3 Live, Laugh, Love <3
