I willingly participate in many activities that I deem to be gay...given that, however, I could never be as gay as those two fruits.

I wrote that in the midst of a really shitty day though....tonight went much better so chillin is all smiles again.

Yo, I'll be in LV this weekend playing poker. i normally play at MGM grand, cause they usually have good drink service. I play tournaments where I can find them. I'm not that good, so I stay away from the old men spots, and the deep stack tournaments. I just hang in the middle. Just look for the short black guy that's always drinking and looks like he hasn't slept. That'll be me.

I've played at a lot of the strip property poker rooms, but for whatever reason really ended up liking the Venetian poker room the best.

I'm hoping to sit for a few sessions on the upcoming trip in May.

I love hold'em but I haven't played it much lately. easy money is at hooters casino in vegas. not a nice room but not good players either.

Used to play quite a bit during law school.. have slowed down considerably in the last 2 years though.

Limit Hold'Em and PLO were my fav. Tournaments more so than cash. We should set up a JC online poker tourney!

I'm weary of playing Hold Em in casinos, but I usually rake some money in playing 7 card Stud. Not offered in every poker room, but Mirage usually has a Stud game, and I always play at Mohegian and Foxwoods when I go there.

My favourite is still Party poker from the beginnings when I started playing.

MGM is a great place to pop your cherry. Its a very easy going attitude at the lower limits. A majority of the dealers, players and staff are all very helpful to newbies.

If you like poker, I highly recommend you take the time to sit down and enjoy. I love to sit at something like 2-4 or 3-6 limit, get great drink service, and realize an hour later I made some friends, got hammered and played poker without losing a dime.
The right table with the right players+dealers can be just as good as a casual bar. You wont regret it, who cares what others think, just sit and have some fun.

Hmmm...I might do this then. I just know that some people are so serious about cards and I'm not...I like to play for fun, of course I enjoy winning but cards aren't a staple for me in Vegas. Last time I went I only played penny slots for free drinks while we waited for people. I used to play Black Jack a lot and I remember how serious people were when someone made a bad hit or whatever.

Sounds like I might be able to try it out there if its low-key and n00b friendly. Thanks!

I would 2nd the recommendation for the MGM room as it seems to be pretty friendly and inviting to random "tourist" play (as opposed to some of the other rooms that seem to harbor more locals). The last time I had a really ripping session of drinking was at the Mirage. I found a lot of people ready to drink the night away with me.

I'll be playing tables this weekend if anyone is looking for a fellow drinker at the table.

Damn, missed you by a week. Ill be there starting the 6th. Always good to meet a fellow poker drinker.
My first trips, the Mirage had the busiest poker rooms, but I was always too intimidated to play. Then I found MGM, and now Im good playing anywhere, though I always prefer the Lion for a good time.
My favourite part is how the serious players get ticked off at the music from the Centrifuge bar, and Im just lovin' it.
