    Hey All,

I'm sure there's a thread on this tucked away somewhere, but I have a few questions regarding casino hosts. I make it out to Vegas about 4 times a year and I feel like it'd be nice to build a relationship somewhere for comps, etc. I'd mostly be looking for comp rooms.

-What's the minimum play to even begin conversations? (My play is usually around $500/day) Will they even talk to you/ help you out if you aren't a high roller, or just tell you to get lost?

-Are you pretty much locked into one property, or is it possible to jump around to other properties that are part of the same rewards program?

    Thanks as always,

At 500/day its going to be very tough to get your own host. They will probably refer you to the players card desk and have an agent there take care of you. You wont be locked into one property. You can play at all MGM properties and earn rewards or all Harrah/Caesars properties. Wynn/Encore, Cosmo, and Venetian/Palazzo programs you would be locked in at their resort

I use wynn for that...and im pretty much locked in but since i like the cassino and the hotel its ok.
So for having complimentary rooms i think the minimum you need to play is like $100 a hand for 3-4 hours a day (thats what they want you to play)....in terms of Money maybe 3k/day....
for $500 a day only membership programs like red card but definitely not having your own host.

Nowadays, even $100 a hand for 4 hours a day doesn't get you much. Comps are down across the board. Most people I know that have hosts that actually do something for them are $250 a hand bettors on up. Planet Hollywood had me down for $75 a hand for 15 hours and I have a host...but she doesn't/cant do anything special for me. The offers I get online are better or the same as what she provides. Sadly, $500 total spend a day at around $25 a hand may get you some room discounts for future trips, but definitely not a host.

Yep, I agree comps are way down. Most of the upscale places like wynncore, venilazzo Cosmo/aria etc. want 5 hrs/day @ a min bet of $100/ hand for a comped room. At that point it makes more sense to save the cash and pay for the room outright.
Unless your bankroll is around 2k per day, you can take the reduced room rate that comes from being a member of which ever hotel's players club.

Yeah, prob 5 hrs, $100 a hand but depends on the game also...$100 on BJ is not the same as $100 on pai gow...
Cassino rates on wynn are $129 for weekdays and $219 for weekends...it already helps, dont know how much you need to play to get them....
If you dont gamble just pay for your room but if you do i dont see any harm on using the comps...
Bealive me, i would rather pay for my room and not loose a dime, but since i go for vegas also for gambling comps are part of it, you can always think that if you loose $10,000 you saved like $2,000 on rooms/food...they give back part of your loss as comps...
