Best Casino for beginners

Hi,

Can anybody recommend a casino for 9 girls who have never gambled before?

We're over from the UK and I think it would be a crime not to have a little go.

We don't want anywhere that will be too intimidating, and maybe somewhere with low minimum bets

Youre staying at NYNY right? I would start there. Its a little more relaxed casino floor with some lower limits on table games so I would get your feet wet there

If you're driving even and wouldn't mind the off-strip casinos they usually always have a lower minimum. If not, some of the smaller casinos on the strip would be your best bet. eg: Luxor/Exalibur/Harrah's/etc. But usually if you find an empty table the dealers will always be willing to help out, not to mention some casinos actually hold teaching sessions on certain games (just keep an eye out for that)

Jhaulotte, yeah we're staying at NYNY, thanks for your advice, we want a nice relaxed atmosphere with dealers who wont think were wasting their time!!

Any more advice you can offer for 9 girls stay 9-16 May....clubs, bars, shows etc? x

Hi Jerseygirl! I'd agree with the advice so far -- stroll through the casino in the 10am-11am range on weekdays and look for the "free lessons" signs -- in addition to NYNY/Excalibur, lower minimums are often found across the street at Tropicana, too. If your group is up for a jaunt downtown to Fremont Street aka "old school Vegas", nearly everywhere is a good choice to stretch your gambling budget... Can find Blackjack and Craps for ~$3, Roulette for under a buck sometimes. As always, weekdays better than weekends, daytime better than night...

We're all anxiously awaiting the club schedules for May to start coming out in a few weeks... not to mention a number of brand new places just opening up in late April, May's gonna be awesome! With your large group of ladies I'm sure you won't have any problem waiting in line at the clubs I know some of the many coming in for the Invasion the following week may be in town earlier, myself included, so always options to share tables and such...
