Ah, so it does. I was thinking the "in clockwise order" meant the numbers on the felt, not on the wheel. Well I'm happy to agree that Mike Caro's instructions, when understood correctly and followed carefully, will indeed result in 0 house edge.
Pure win in Roulette!

Excuse my ignorance - are you supposed to bet ALL even-red/odd-black numbers (other than those ones you're specifically meant to exclude), or do you bet ANY ONE of those numbers each spin and by betting that ONE number you're getting better odds?Originally posted by msavard View PostYou should probably re-read that post again. Do you mean Mike Caros system? If you look at the wheel you will see it's DO NOT play the numbers 11-14 clockwise on the wheel
The following roulette system is the brainchild of respected gambling authority Mike Caro, and has been endorsed by several top mathematicians. It is easy to use and mathematically sound. Moreover, it has been shown to completely eliminate the house edge in tests involving millions of computer-simulated trials.
I'm going give you a secret roulette system that really works. It will cut the house advantage to literally nothing, if you believe in it enough to never get frustrated and switch tactics. What I'm going to say may seem strange, but here goes.
First, never bet simply red or black. Also don't bet odd or even. These are equally poor, consistently losing wagers.
Second, don't be suckered into betting zero or double zero, despite what some experts may suggest. This may seem like you're betting with the house, but for technical reasons you are actually betting against the house -- and you are taking the worst of it.
So, in order to negate the house advantage, you MUST stick to straight non-green number bets. All odd red numbers turn out to be bad choices, based on over two trillion computer trials. Don't bet them.
All even black numbers fare poorly, and cannot be bet, for much the same reason, which I won't explain here.
Let's get straight to the money-saving advice. Any bet you decide to make MUST cover only even-red or odd-black numbers. There are no exceptions.
Finally, you need to be very disciplined in excluding the number 30 and the group of consecutive numbers that begins with 11 and continues clockwise through and including 14.
This system may seem mystical, but I take gambling quite seriously, and this works for me.
Systems are for entertainment only, in the long run they usually just increase your chance of loss.EastCoast: "I will preach. Vegas is easy. So easy. Caro Roulette System #1
By Mike Caro, "America's Mad Genius"
"Why my system really works!"
Leading experts agree: Caro's Roulette System #1 really does cut the house advantage to literally zero -- Here's why in the creator's own words
OK, since you were smart enough to come to this page, I won't play any more games with your mind. Here's the truth.
People are always asking me for good roulette systems. This disturbs me, because for many years I have preached that there are some gambling games you can beat and some you can't. In the can-beat category are poker, sports wagering, blackjack, and more. In the can't-beat category are craps, roulette, wheel of fortune, keno, and much more.
Yes, I will entertain arguments that you can theoretically beat roulette by measuring the rotation of the ball and the speed of the wheel. But that's another matter for another day -- and, besides, this turns out to be better in theory than it is in practice.
So, let's look at Caro's Roulette System #1. In saying that my system could cut the house edge to literally zero, I chose the word "literally" quite carefully. It means that "zero" is to be taken precisely to mean "zero." If you follow the instructions exactly, all bets are eliminated. You can sit and watch the wheel spin forever, but you will never make a bet -- unless you violate the instructions.Next Vegas Adventure: mAyOD 14'

I agree... please provide a link to this basis... I am interested... it seems like this strategy just used a random number generator and found the most frequent numbers rolled, then grouped them based on that... It does seem somewhat mystical..."How 'bout that ride in? I guess that's why they call it Sin City."

What a load of rubbish. It's impossible to have any sort of a system that eliminates the house edge in roulette. The board has 38 numbers (or 37 if there is one 0) and you get odds of 35/1 on any one number, which is divided appropriately if you do corner bets or red or black or whatever. Due to the odds on offer on every bet vs the ACTUAL odds of your bet winning, the house always has the advantage. Any gambler or person with a mathematical brain should know this. I can't believe this is even being entertained as a genuine system!!!Last edited by ireldn; 07-04-2013, 09:41 AM.

Unfortunately they don't award comp points to people following Caro's system as the casino realizes they aren't making any money on you and the caro devotees are pretty easy to spot.Wedding @ Riviera '06 • March Madness @ Mandalay Bay May 2010 • Bachelor Party @ Palms Jul 2013 • GF's Birthday @ Cosmopolitan Oct 2013
