The preakness?

anyone an avid horse race gambler? i know the Preakness is next saturday during AOD invasion. any tips or hints on what horses to look out for?....i was in vegas five years ago when the kentucky derby was on and a 30-1 shot named jiacomo won or something like that. lol

I have been on Ill Have Another for 2 months now as my derby horse, so that worked out well for me. Honestly I think Bodemeister should win this one, pimlico is a deeper track, more narrow turns and smaller field. Once I see the final field and position draw I will update here. It's no AOD Invasion or even EDC NY but I will be there with my day of bottomless beer and decent live music and gambling

I agree w/ McNulty that Bodemeister will probably win although I honestly think I'll Have Another has a good chance to win again, but post position will be a factor. Really depends on the draw, unlike last year where there wasn't much talent across the board, this year there are quite a few very talented horses.

Hansen/Trinniberg (assuming they run) could also throw off Bode depending where they draw as well.

I have to say if you can make it, it's so worth it. I barely dragged my ass outta bed last MAOD and stumbled to Caesar's to bet $200 on Shackleford to win and at 21-1, I was so happy I actually got my butt outta bed......so if you're planning on betting make sure you're in a position to be able to bet in time on Sat.

Also, if you're up late enough, you can always place the bet at 8am before you go to bed so you know you're covered.

Also on that note, where are you guys betting at? Maybe we can get an AOD group together. I usually go to Caesar's b/c I know the sportsbook manager and he gives me a comfy chair to pass out in, but I am open to wherever.

caesars would be good or bellagio or any where in that vicinity. i'm sure most places will be busy with inexperienced guys like myself trying to find a horse to bet on. lol i think the race festivities start at like 1ish?

Race itself goes off at like 320 vegas time. First race of the day is at 730 out there
