[QUOTE=Chuck;177605 when i want to drink like a sailor and have a good time i go for craps. If Im somewhere in the middle then its bj.[/QUOTE]

If drinking is the objective, then location is more important than the game.

I wanna play something besides slots this time around in vegas and was wondering what game you guys suggest playing. I know the basic rules of poker and blackjack. I want something that is fairly easy to learn, in which I dont need to know super complex strategies to fair decently at. Thanks.
What about baccarat? Chuck had mentioned in a previous thread that was pretty straight forward to play. Ive never played it but the rules seemed simple. Chuck?

        2. Craps will give you the best odds, but as long as you stick with the best bets, it can be pretty boring.
        3. Blackjack is the next best bet but requires knowledge of the game. As mentioned previously, a little pregame study will pay dividends.
        4. If you are so trashed you cant remember how to play blackjack to how to bet on the pass line, try black or red on roulette.
        5. If beyond #4, text me and we will play poker.
Bacarrat is the best odds but generally the highest minimums and not as fun as a low min bj or craps table b/c there are usually other players betting $500+ per hand and are very superstitious. When I want to pad my bankroll i play bacarrat, when i want to drink like a sailor and have a good time i go for craps. If Im somewhere in the middle then its bj.
Right on queue! I walked away for few minutes and hes got it up.

okay so baccarat, bj, and craps. hehe. I stick to betting the pass line on craps and cheer with the crowds, always looks fun. Review basic strategy of bj and stay far to the dealers left? and just have fun with baccarat, seems pretty simple.

I thought the same thing when I first played...easy as flipping a coin and the odds are about the same. It takes a little to understand why the dealer does what he does. But how the cards are dealt has nothing to do with deciding how to bet. The "pros" just track the history of hands and base bet decisions off that but Ive out played people doing this just by going with my gut so whatever.

I love watching the "pros" try and figure out what to bet on.

Either get a Blackjack Strategy card and play low limit BlackjJack, or go to a Roulette table and bet on either Red/Black or Odd/Even and you can have some fun without getting hurt too bad. Should be able to make your money last a while that way.

Roulette is pretty easy, pick a number! Then you can learn how to play the 'lines' and bet on multiple numbers or whole rows

Check out wizardofvegas.com. There are great basic rules guides along with discussion of which games have the lowest house edge (for a beginner, you'll lose less money). Based on that site, I've learned to play Pai Gow Poker, Craps, and Baccarat (this really is just a bet on A or B, never bet the tie).

Its one of the best games to play IF you understand what to bet on and how to minimize house edge, but very few beginners understand this. Plus for beginners it can be intimidating to walk up to a craps table and start playing.

Might sound lame...but I bought a backjack card on amazon (3$) played for a couple of hours at cosmo, made a little money had some drinks and a lot of fun. Just beware being the only one at a table, it really speeds up the number of hands!
