Aria, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Cosmo, Mirage all do for sure. I'm sure most casinos on the strip have at least one.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Venetian does as well. They had two tables. On another note, I took Chucks advice and played some at the Monte Carlo. I won $600 in less than an hour and decided to quit while I was ahead. I had a good time and have hooked some of my friends on the game. One of whom one $400. It definitely was a nice ending to a week where I made a permanent enemy of my liver (more on that to come...). One thing that I noticed was that the two dealers we had were really unfriendly. Is that a Monte Carlo thing or just s coincidence?

Thanks. It was a fun way to end the trip. Interestingly, I was reading in the airport about whatever strategy there is in baccarat and it turns out that even with a 5% commission one should always bet on the banker. However, if I had done that i might have lost everything as I had a streak of 9 player wins that I rode to make the bulk of my winnings. I know that the statistics don't lie but luck is still a big part of the game (and the fact that the house edge is pretty close between player and banker).Originally posted by Chuck View PostI've had sone great dealers at Monte Carlo...just luck if the draw. Yup...the house ALWAYS wins in the long run. The night i had my biggest win we had two good player streaks.
Our dealer told us the night before a guy one over 90% of hands flipping a coin on every hand!Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Depends on the wheel and if it's a single 0 or double 00. The single 0 wheels (which seem to be rare anymore). On a double zero wheel the house edge is 5.26%. The house edge on a Banker Bet in Baccarat is 1.05% on a 5% commission table.Originally posted by xurusaibobx View Postwhats the difference from playing Roulette black or red? that one is pretty much even 50/50 right? thats what i was doing my last time in vegas, was up a grand and walked awayLike all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

If you want to have an edge over the house...find an empty single deck BJ table and play PERFECT basic strategy. You'll be a .02% favorite and have absolutely no fun at all

I've been playing baccarat online for the last couple of days. Damn it's fun for some stupid reason. I can't figure it out. I just pick one or the other, and then every now and then I throw an extra bet on the tie. I've hit the tie a couple times. While it was just play money I am up about 40%.March 2007 - Venetian | December 2010 - Flamingo | December 2011 - Palms | November 2012 - Cosmo | November 2013 - Mandalay Bay | June 2014 - PH

Haha I've been doing a 5 banker, 2 player rotation thing. Not sure how I wound up with that, but it's been working for me. of the 7 bets I am winning on 5 of them on average. Mostly the banker bet. Also if I see the player starts hitting more than banker, I switch.Originally posted by CantStopGrindin View PostLOL, Ive been doing the same and I cant seem to win. Just sit....pull out a quarter....flip it....if heads, bet banker, if tails bet player. Then just go with your gut after the first bet.Originally posted by Daimler View PostI've always seen the Mini-Baccarat tables, but since i don't know how to play and the minimum bets are very high i prefer to play BJ.
But now im pretty excited to give a try, (at least 100) and if i lose 4 in row im done with it.
Good Luck! It's stupid simple but damn fun...especially when you start pushing the big chips around

I'm a Baccarat Player and I might be able to clear up some questions that you guys are having.
Banker Side Advantage
The reason why the Banker side have the advantage is because there is a hit chart involved in the game. It's basically a chart to determine if the Banker draws the extra third card depending on what the Player side third card is. Basically it's mathematically determined to give the Banker side an advantage. It's kinda like watching what your opponent drew to determine if you draw or not.
The simplest example i can think of is when the Banker side Have a total of (3) points on the the first 2 cards, the Banker side will hit anything the Player side's third card, except for the card 8. And player side only hits when it's total points is anything between (0)-(5) on the first 2 cards... So if bank have (3) and player have (4), and player side hits a 8 card (i.e. 8 of spades) now player side is at (2) points and the bankside wins, no need to risk another card.
(0)+8 =8
(1)+8= 9
(2)+8= 0
(3)+8= 1
(4)+8= 2
(5)+8= 3
So you see how statistically speaking on this "hit chart" design you'll only lose 2 times win 3 times and only time once. And since you don't lose on a tie, your odds of losing is only 2/6 =1/3. Therefore the banker side have an advantage
This is only one example out of the whole hit chart, i hope i didn't make it too confusing.
No Commission Baccarat
The non commission baccarat you gotta watch out. there's a few kinds, some only pays you half when the banker side wins in a weird way. But the most popular version of no commission baccarat right now is the EZ Baccarat. How the house gets you is very simple. Whenever the Banker side wins with 3 cards total of (7) points the dragon bonus wins. What it means is if you bet the bonus bet, it pays 40 to 1, Your player and tie bets lose, and the worst part is your banker side bets gets push, so you get screwed by not getting paid. True odds on the Dragon bonus bets are like 42 to 1 or 47 to 1, i forgot. so that's why the house doesn't take commission.
The non Sense of looking at the monitor or writing it down on paper
This game is far more complex than a red/black situation. Baccarat is played with 8 decks, 416 cards. It's like raw data in statistic. Everyone have their way of keeping track, some people even write down what cards were used. You can call it non sense or whatever, but everyone have their way of keeping track. Does it really mean anything? Does it work? Are the patterns predictable? There's always been a long going argument on it. For me, it's part of the fun. Plus it makes me look like pro.. haha
