This video is awful because it will get people to think about its message, which can happen if people do what it says

.... if that would happen it would be 100% because of the media causing people to freak out. I don't get why they do it. Its a self fulfilling prophecy every time.

Even today, if all news networks came on and praised how great things were doing (even if they weren't) and how the outlook was really great... people would believe it and go on spending money (saving the economy) and live a happy life. The average person would have no clue of the true state of things and think things are great. It would be one case were the news lying would be a great thing..... but instead its all gloom and doom so people freak out.

Bottom line is people are stupid/lemmings and will do over-react to what they hear.

No, because if that video gets deleted and another isn't made, it won't happen. If the same guy made a video about China cutting us off but the outcome was the USA magically turning to an amazing wonderland, people would buy into it and go on doing what they see in the video.

If a person sees other people panicking, they'll panic.
If a person sees other people feeling all fuzzy and good, they'll feel the same.

You dont really believe that do you? As long as we "believe and spend", the US economy will always be strong and the US debt will never effect it????

As long as "Good News" is being thrown in front of people day after day things will be far better than if "Bad News" is all people see.

If the main news stations would just broadcast all sorts of positive information based on things that are happening instead of the bad, things would get better because people would buy in.

.... like the video above, if the news says "HOLY SHIT PEOPLE ARE LOOTING AND BUYING UP ALL STORES OMG OMG!" .... everyone who isn't out looting and buying everything will certainly pile in the car and head out to do just that.

Don't get me wrong, the country sucks pretty hard right now, but it isn't nearly as bad as the news makes it seem. Anyone here actually lost their job? Anyone here actually effected by the national debt? Anyone here noticing "bad" things from this economy? .... not me, I'm personally loving it. I got a great job just this year, better than my last one. Bought a car and a boat for pennies on the dollar (sure someone took a hit - they're probably a bit affected).... but I'm loving things right now. My dollar goes further.

Stock market is basically exactly back where it was in 07' (before the downturn). Housing market is in rough shape but that is because people took 300k loans with 0% down on a 50k a year salary, when they lose their house it makes perfect sense. Unemployment rates are NOT an accurate (lots of people working the system - I have friends doing it), and with all of these "wars" ending there will be a huge amount of increased internal spending with a large amount of wasteful government spending (the wars) being cut out.... this money put to our infrastructure (schools, roads, etc etc) will help pull things around an insane amount...... but none if this is covered on the news.

                      Cheers mate

I don't know how you are coming up with 20.2%. My average buy in price is something like .20 lower than the floor price in December.

Sorry, I am too far removed from metals to offer a professional opinion. I will say that I am a contrarian at heart, and when everyone else is buying...I'm selling (or at least buying out of the money puts)

Ah man... I was hoping you could give me some advice on lean hog futures. As a contrarian, silver could be a nice play for you. Institutional investors dislike the volitality, manipulation, and the fact (well, the way I see it) that your'e betting against the Fed...

What else is everyone investing in. Apple...obviously a great place to be with no end in sight.

Who is making a play on Social Media with the Facebook IPO coming up? BVSN recommended by the pump and dump kings NIA (who made the above video) has had huge swings. I put a very little amount in at 16, 21, and then dumped at 29...
