What can people tell me about this tournament? All my googling turns up mostly spam sites with a couple of actual reviews. Anyone play it and do well? Is it really a 7-8 hour tournament? It's worth it to me if I can get in the money as the 1st place has an average ROI that is way better than any others. Just curious if people have played or not.

This is a tourney I always hit up every trip. I've played in this 5 times and got in the money 3 times....I will say one time was pure luck b/c I hadn't slept and played like shit...so really only legit got in the money twice. Players are pretty terrible (relative to most of the other tournaments), so this is a tournament I always try to get to. I will say the skill level of most players in the tournament has gotten better since the first time I did this.
I would say the earlier one takes about 9 hours and the later one is about 7.5-8 hours. It pays well for 1st/2nd but the rest of the money payout is shitty, so I always advise trying to split the pot and spending the extra time racking in some money at the cash tables (again the players are pretty awful). I am not a stud or anything, so I play lower limits, can't speak to the higher limits.
I also recommend cash at bellagio....although they used to be pretty tough...their low limit is ridiculous now (at least in the times I have been there).
I have gone many times after the Bank got too crowded and went to the room and played til my friends left the club and did quite well or made up my losses for the trip

Buuuuut.... last time in Vegas was for a bach party... sooo I wasn't there for an 8 hour tourny but stupid me played anyways
...went out 1st in about 5 minutes.. Apparently doozed off at the table and didn't realize I had pocket AAs until I made a set on the turn.... went all in with a straight draw and flush draw on the board and the douche called and caught on the river. If I was awake I wouldn't have checked to the turn lol and he woulda folded.
