Edc 2011/2012

I was in vegas for my first time this year of Memorial weekend and it was amazing, so many great DJs at the clubs! i want to return next year but it doesnt look like we can all do those dates so we are thinking EDC weekend may be the next best alternative, but our worry is that friday, saturday and sunday night will be empty in the clubs because of the festival. we will prob hit the festival on one night but not all 3.

Any one know what the clubs were like this year over EDC weekend this year? or would people recommend a different weekend thats as good as Memorial Weekend?

Surely if all the top djs are in town they'll be playing the clubs before an prior they play EDC seeing as there in town anyway, thats what im hoping anyway,

but my concern is if im only there thurs-mon and only going to the festival for one of the nights then Fri-Sun are the clubs empty as all the big DJs are playing at the festival?

I wouldn't worry about the clubs being empty. I was there EDC weekend (didn't go to the festival) and Marquee on Saturday night (Roger Sanchez DJing) and Wet on Sunday (David Guetta DJing) were as crowded as they usually are. I think a few of the other clubs had EDC artists spinning as well. Aside from seeing more raver candy in the clubs and some tired ass looking people walking around the casinos in little clothing in the mornings, it seemed like your typical busy summer weekend in Vegas.

I organized a huge trip last EDC and honestly since it was the first year, most of the clubs weren't really prepared for it and treated it as a regular night. This upcoming year they are treating it more like Miami Music week, so we would expect more of a bigger line up, and larger crowds to be in town. The focus would probably be on the pool scene since Fri-Sun most people will be at the EDC event during the evening/early morning.

Probably the last week of March-first week of April. I run a party group on FB and we all monitor the sale dates on these things.

NO they just perform on different days bc i ended up just at the clubs and it was AMMMMAAAAAAZZZZING!!! Dirty South, Chuckie, Afrojack, and Guetta were the main ones i remember performing outside of EDC. I loved it

Yup since EDC lasts until 8am, Afrojack actually performed somewhere on the strip..got on a helicopter then did his set at EDC.

Wow sounds great. will probably head there that weekend instead of MDW 2012 then. Were the club prices as expensive as MDW?

Also, when do they announce the date of EDC 2012? as want to get flights and tickets booked asap as we have a sale on in the UK at the mo...

The prices aren't that much different then a typical weekend honestly.
