Taxi's and an alternative?

Does anyone have any contacts for private taxi type services and what they cost? I am not talking limo service but a contact who you can call at short notice if taxis are rammed to get you to your destination on the strip?

Think I read in a trip report someone had a contact like this but cant find it??!

I don't know about how this could work in Vegas, but here we sometimes use a taxi once... and if we like the guy he is our go to guy (he generaly gives us a card or cell number) and we can usually can him on his cell for specific pick ups etc...some will make themselves available 24/hr 7days a weeks especially if you tip them well...

When Taxi Lines get jammed, the limos, Escalades and Town Cars descend on those properties and start making deals.

Just look for a Valet or employee to hail you a town car (or limo or Escalade). You won't wait more than 1 minute.

When Taxi Lines get jammed, the limos, Escalades and Town Cars descend on those properties and start making deals.

Just look for a Valet or employee to hail you a town car (or limo or Escalade). You won't wait more than 1 minute.

yea usually they have town cars that will take you they cost more tho. when i was in chicago we got the card from a taxi driver and called him everytime we needed to go somewhere long distance....so maybe they do that in vegas too

This is my favorite way to roll around town, its especially great if you have more than 5 people (which would require 2 or more cabs)

Prices vary based on time and amount of people, but general budget is going to be $40 to $80 and then add about $10-$20 for tip.

A taxi isn't going to jump the line and piss off the doorman/valet staff for your $10 fare from your hotel to the club. You are looking for a limo hookup. Like whats said above expect your fare to be at least 4X that of a taxi, but you wont wait. Oh and if you get hooked up by the Door/Valet guy, tip him as well.

At a busy time, that's a good way to get $hit thrown at you.

Might as well grab a Town Car.
