    Hello all,
I am new to the board and this is my first post. I'm a 21 year old bloke from Australia. Last week i spontaneously booked a trip to America, having never been overseas before im naturally very excited. And what a better place to go than the famous sin city. The plan is LA for two nights and Vegas for 5 (oct 20 to 25)

Heading over with 4-5 mates who have all been before but im so keen i thought I'd find out some info. Goal of the trip is to get as blind drunk as possible, hit the clubs and with any luck pick up a bird or two.

We are looking at seeing the lakers play which would be cool. Whats on in vegas that time of year? whats the weather like, pool parties? etc etc

I have heard the dress codes are pretty strict? Not a big fan of the collar tops. If in a club i were to ditch the dress shirt for a stock standard v-neck underneath could i get away with it? Are drinks really free if gambling? if so, can you go nuts and order what ever you want?

Stupid questions, i know. But im so excited its not funny. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all!

You might get away with unbuttoning the shirt, but not taking it off.

Go crazy on the drinks, because if your gambling, your definitely paying for it. lol

No Lakeshow this year! This lockout may take out the season.

You probably won't get into the good clubs with just a vneck, unless you also wear a blazer. Otherwise, play it safe and wear a collared shirt.

Yes, if you gamble, drinks are really free. You can only order one at a time, but you are allowed to order doubles (i.e. a double jack and coke). You can usually request top-shelf liquors too, especially in the nicer casinos. Love gambling in the Bellagio, and in my experience, the waitresses come around quicker than elsewhere. Tip them a 5 dollar chip the first one or two rounds, and then they'll be coming back even more frequently.
