Mandalay/luxor in October!!

Going with group oct 13-17 (thurs-sun). I'm staying at MB (nicer hotel) while friends staying at LUXOR. Will moorea beach be open/worth it?
How's LAX been lately? I never been. Any contacts/hosts to get ahold of?? I still wanna do pool scene? What will be good?

Moorea Beach is rarely talked about on here. I thought AMG was running but it looks like that may have changed. I think its an older crowd.
