  • Surviving Vegas: Adrenaline, Red Bull, & Sleep

With an incredible 4-day weekend planned over Labor Day weekend, there is at least a little concern that we've overbooked. I know the adrenaline of being in Vegas and having tons of fun will carry me to a certain extent, but how far?

    Thuirsday night at Tao ...
    Friday night at Haze ...
    Friday night at Marquee ...
Saturday morning at Wet Republic ...
    Saturday night at Rain ...
    Sunday morning at Rehab ...
    Sunday night at XS

I'm not seeing much time for sleep in our schedule, mainly because we need to be at the pool parties by 10 am or even earlier to get in, and the djs we'll be seeing at the pool parties will be typically spinning between 4 and 7.

Is this schedule even possible? Has anyone else tried a party schedule this full with good results?

I notice that a lot of people seem to swear by Red Bull as the answer, but does that stuff actually work? Does it give any more energy than coffee? I've never tried it, and I'm wondering if I should be ordering Red Bull & Vodka to get me through this weekend.

    Any suggestions?

I did 9 days in Vegas last year. Only got 4 hours sleep per night (day) and was drinking an insane amount (mimosas for breakfast, bloody marys at lunch, beer for snack, wine with dinner, cocktails all night . . . repeat).

I survived. It wasn't pretty but I survived. Had the shakes pretty bad the last day.

    Time of my life, though.

Sorry, no real advice. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't drink so much you vomit. Drink just until that point then back off.

naps are a death trap between the pool party and nightclub. Do so at your own risk!

100% agree. do not take a nap after the pool party. if you do you might as well call it a night. after pool party, go change, keep drinking (but slowly) and get out of your room. Drink lots of water all day and all night. i actually go to CVS and load up on pedialiyte. drink one every eveniing and morning. hangovers will be brief or none at all.

good luck buddy. i'll be in LV in 9 days. so stoked!!

Sounds really jammed. Definitely get good rest before you go to Vegas.

For me though, I don't like to push too hard. I rather ticket out one thing out of the hectic schedule to enjoy the rest of it more.

But that's just my common sense talking...

waking up from a nap after a long day of drinking in the hot sun is one of the worst feelings in the world. night is totally shot and if you push through you are droggy as hell. No fun at all..

Well I pulled off something similar 4th of July weekend... I got a couple hours of sleep the first night and was up for the rest of the time. My adrenaline was so pumped from the line-up we had scheduled that I didn't even care about sleep and really couldn't. You should be fine with the schedule you have, just remember to drink plenty of water at the pool parties.

Too much redbull will have you feeling cracked out. Water and greasy food during your intermission periods and no naps. I'd even plan a buffet between pool and nightclub so you don't even give yourself the option to kid yourself into thinking you'll wake up. and you'll probably be toast after rehab haha. Not that I don't have faith in ya, I just have more faith in rehab. lol. Good luck

ur schedule isnt that bad. It doesnt really get hectic 'till the weekend. I disagree with the rest of the community about power naps. Only because I invest in things that are sure to wake me up after a tough nap.

Trust, you get back from a pool party at 5....sleep until 7-8, it can do nothing but help. Wake up with a shot. A five hour energy. Do a few situps, and get it in. It will pay off when ur fist pumpin' at 2 in the morn, and u need that extra reserve of energy.

This man speaks the word! Kick off each one of your parties with a 4LOKO. Its not illegal, but it should be.

I usually have this to start things off with a bang. Made by the same company as four loko.
