I have a trip planned where I'm staying at the Palms. I am curious if the walk from the Palms to the Strip is pedestrian friendly at all. Will it be better to take a cab?

It's actually pretty far. There's a free shuttle from Rio to the Strip though I believe so if you really need to walk, walk to the Rio and take the shuttle. -
Yes, you'll be better off taking a cab. It's very far. Far too long to walk.That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

I've often considered staying at the Palms. However, if its beyond a two night trip I wouldn't do it. Simply because the walk is to far. Palms appears to be a great spot if you are not planning on leaving the hotel. With their pools, clubs and food, it can certainly keep you busy for a few days.11 PREVIOUS VEGAS TRIPS

Just as an FYI, the Rio shuttle stops running at midnight during the week. Found that out the hard way.Never offer an open bar to a Wisconsinite... =)Comment

Palms has their own shuttle
I stay at the palms a lot. They have their own shuttle. It goes to caesars front door/ valet, then it goes to I believe the fashion mall. Then back to the palms. It's free for everyone. So its a great way to get to the palms if your staying on the strip.

Someone already mentioned that The Palms has their own shuttle, but I think it only runs twice daily. I stayed at Palms Place recently, but some friends stayed at Bally's. I think the cab ride to Bally's was only like $10 with tip. As long as you can split the cab and/or don't go back and forth multiple times per day it's not bad.Upcoming trips:
