  • Where to Stay???

I'll be hitting LV in late August or September and was hoping to get some suggestions of where to stay? We gamble pretty heavily so a good casino is a plus. Definitely enjoy a younger, yet still mature crowd. Love the energy but can definitely do without overly obnoxious drunks that can't hold their liquor (although this hasn't been much of a problem outside of a few rare occasions and at encore of all places) I've stayed at the Mirage, Palazzo, Venetian, Bellagio, Caesars, Aria, and theHotel.

My crew likes gambling, hot women, and drinking. Okay so I pretty much described all of Las Vegas, but if there is a place anyone is partial to any recommendations would be welcomed. Money is not a huge factor but all things being equal saving a few bucks is good too. Thanks JC!

I'd recommend Cosmo for Niceness or Caesars for Location.

Yeah I keep hearing Cosmo too but I've also heard that for the price their service was not up to par. Don't know if these are a few isolated incidents but I keep reading about rooms not being ready on time, keys not working repeatedly, and even rooms not being clean during check in.

Having said that I hear the rooms and suites are amazing and obviously being home to Marquee can't hurt.

      How'd you like it there?

I'm from Reno and really thought Palazzo/ Venetian had a great casino floor. I don't need to tell you about the rooms because you have already stayed. I like the fact that you have TAO, LAVO, XS, Tryst, Surrender right by each other.

I'm a WynnCore fan myself but the casino floor was dull IMO...I also didn't care for Cosmo's casino floor..
        Count the cannons....

Venetian/Palazzo has been our go to place in the past. Definitely liked being in the middle of a few key spots and did most everything on that end of the strip. Then I read a bunch of articles saying that they have stopped comping players except for their "best players". I don't really know what that means but it kinda turns me off on the property...at least the gaming side of it. Beautiful property nonetheless.

Cosmo is by far the best hotel in vegas..location, niceness, best club on the strip MARQUEE is right there...

The rooms not being ready though I did experience...i took it as they are just working out all the kinks. This October will be my 3rd time this yr staying at cosmo.

By the way, I have stayed at the wynn, palazzo, venetian, mirage, flamingo, and a few others..

They have been pretty generous to my this yr. I've been to vegas 3 times this yr and stayed at cosmo 2 of the times....their identity memebership allows you to gain points from spending money in the hotel and gambling.

I only play craps and blackjack. I have become gold status and I work directly with the casino host for all my room reservations. Also, they will match membership for any other players card. So if you are ranked high in total rewards or mlife, they will make you the comparable tier in their players acct.

Like most hotels, if you play slots you gain more pts. the table mins are comparable to wynn or palazzo...nothing cheaper than $10. Dealers are nice and the atmospher is very lively.

Basically I love the hotel and the buffet is awesome!

thanks for the info bro...i gamble a good amount out in lv or any place that has a casino but im no wanna-be whale...i usually hit blackjack, some dice, and the occasional baccarat...if you have a good host out there let me know...i think i can live with some of the growing pains of the hotel esp if you say the vibe and casino are pretty good

I highly recommend the Cosmopolitan also. I just came back from Vegas and my stay in that hotel was phenomenal. I've stayed at the M, Caesars, Wynn, Encore and Palazzo, and by far I enjoyed that one the most. Since it's the new hotel in Vegas it has most modern feel and that look pulls all the hotties in.

It was perfect for my brother's bachelor party because it was right in the center of everything. It was mighty packed though last weekend but we didn't care because we were drunk 3/4 of the time haha. If you're trying to get into clubs, we used this guy named Jay Hodges. He did a great job in organizing our limo services and getting into 2 of the clubs without waiting. His number is 1(702)675-5498.

Hope you have fun in Vegas!

Seems like everyone likes Cosmo and if anything or willing to overlook some minor hiccups based on how much they like everything else. Thanks for the input. BTW who does Jay work for?

Well it sounds like Grazie really screwed up their new point system for Venetian/ Palazzo guests in regards to loyal customers, just what I heard. I think everyone feels the same way about droppin money into a resort/ casino and then getting nothing in return.

yeah most ppl are smart enough not to play for comps but getting a few meals and your room taken care is an added bonus particulalrly on a losing trip
