  • How excited? Let me demonstrate...

Ok, so less than 3 weeks to go now for the next trip, and we've got everything pretty much done and sorted. Mucho thanks to these forums and the JC members for invaluable consultation.

Given weekends at my local tend to look like this...

    vegas4.jpg

.. I think we're in for a good time regardless, but would welcome any final input to see if we've missed something / fucked up / better ideas?

group of 14 from Australia (13 guys, 1 adult), arriving Sat 27 August. Staying Palazzo.

Sat 27th - Private Jet charter LAX to LAS. Dinner at Stripsteak, drink at Mix. 2 x dance floor tables at Marquee for ATB.
Sun 28th. 2 x Cabanas at EBC for George Acosta. Dance floor table at Lavo (only half the group out that night).
Mon 29th. Mystere. Dinner at Okada. 2 x dance floor tables XS.
Tues 30th. Private afternoon booking at Exotics Racing. Dinner at B&B Ristorante. Black out evening due to the next day activity. Ok, so who am I kidding, will probably end up doing a solo at Blush, along with anyone else too stupid to have an early night...
Wed 31st. Full day private booking at Air Combat USA. Dinner at Le Cirque. 2 x patio tables at Surrender for Sidney Samson.
Thurs 1st. Heli tour to Grand Canyon. Pass out on 15hr flight home..

Pretty happy with the itinerary, but would you change anything? My question mark is probably the dance floor tables at Marquee and XS. Given we're generally lazy bastards who like to sit, will 2 dance floor tables give us enough room, or are we better off a row behind, where there is a bit more space? Ie, trade off dance floor for more room?

Thanks a million, and sorry for a long arsed post..

I would hope that you meant 13 guys + 1 lady. That picture is too funny lol! Dance floor tables are where it's at bro, you won't be disappointed.

What's the age limit to be considered an adult in Oz?

Dare I ask how much a private jet from LAX to Vegas costs?

For something to fit ~14 people from LAX-LAS I would guess maybe like $6k +/- 1k...

Depending your To/From on a flight, usually 12 or so people can start to make renting a plane/jet a better option than buying individual plane tickets... also you don't have to dick with baggage claim, usual airport crap, and can drink as hard as you want on the flight.

18 is the legal drinking age..but 'adult' is always more subjective. I tend to think you earn right of passage to adulthood when you party hard every weekend and occassionally do things like a drunken streak through a nightclub at 4AM.

My wife on the other hand is firmly of the belief that I am a child and will never actually mature into adulthood... go figure, eh?

yeah, jet charter all depends on the from/to, number of peeps and type of jet.

Short answer - more than flying Southwest, bit less than an epic night at Marquee or XS ...AND you get free drinks on board... WOO HOO

Longer answer is a Gulfstream heavy jet configured for for 14-18 pax costs $5K - $8K flying time per hour, plus some incidental oncosts such as fuel surcharge, take off fees etc.. An hour there and back LAX to LAS = 2 hour minimum charge for flying time....unless you can get a discounted empty leg...which you probably won't get on such a short trip.

Less people = smaller jet = lower costs. A turbo prop is less ballin but less expensive again, you could hook one of these for around $3K, and easily fit 20 people+.

I'm certainly no expert on chartering, but have learned more than I care to know about how it all works. If anyone is thinking about starting their next epic vegas trip with a charter, drop me a PM and I'll share what I know!

                    Cheers

They can do it for a $1000 from Ontario airport. Flight attendant friend has a hook up.

Youll like the dance floor tables at XS. Plenty of room and there roped off from the dance floor. Not sure what Marquees are like.
