  • Advice for 8/4-8/8 trip

Wife and I are coming to Vegas this Thursday thru Monday. Staying at the Venetian. We have been out 4 or 5 times but it has been awhile(3 yrs) and I have some questions.
We definitely planned on Tao Thursday. Where else do people recommend for the weekend. Figured we would check out cosmopolitan one night. Is Marquee cool or overhyped? Hit spearmint rhino one night. We always seem to wind up at drais a few times and have had great time there, but what clubs or lounges shouldn't be missed these days.

Have never used a host. We had always been lucky and had a friend that used to have hookups in the past. Just the two of us so we wouldn't do bottle service. Is it bad form to still contact a host for entry, VIP, skipping the line etc. Happy to tip well for the privilege and wife looks damn good in a little dress but does that bring enough to the table?

Marquee is definetly worth checking out. I went on a Monday and it was absolutely crazy. Anyone who says its "over hyped" or anything, either didn't get in or didn't like the prices. Its considered one of the top nightclubs in the world for a reason.

As for the two of you, Id suggest just getting on a guestlist. That will minimize your waits in line. Id also suggest arriving at a decent time. The difference in the lines between 11-12 is unbelievable. I was with my GF and two friends, we didn't do any BS and had a great time.

I am a little old school, but Rain is a pretty good time on a Saturday night, Diplo and Dave Fogg are resident Djs there, I would try to swing by on a night where either of them are performing.

Bank is quite good on Sundays (or was when I went last year). I went to Vanity a couple weeks on a Sunday, I wouldn't recommend that club to anyone on any night.

and since youre going to tao on thursday and staying at the venetian another idea is to get the TAO unlimited wristband (which i actually got for this weekend too!) you get entry into tao, tao beach, and lavo for the entire weekend. @ 50 for guys and 30$ for women its not a bad deal since theres a separate line for entry.

Nothing was wrong with Vanity. I just found it to be pretty plain. I thought the patio was a little small and the crowd wasn't the best I've seen.

Maybe I went on an off night, but there are just places I feel are better.
