Cheap Friends + Myself = Fun night?

So after talking to our group more and more about what we would like to do while in vegas for an upcoming trip everyone agrees a 1/2/3 nights at a club is desired.

... none of them really had a clue of how much that would cost them.
We will have 4 girls, 3 guys going out so my thought was get the girls on a list, get the guys a table with B2G1 or something and we can go from there... when I said this would probably cost ~$1000 they all looked at me like I was retarded. (*Keep in mind I am the only one with a job/not still in college - so I understand their point of view*)

The guys seem to want to just party hard and drink drink drink, girls just seem to want to dance dance dance.

Since I'm not planning on bankrolling them (maybe 1 night if they're nice)... Here is what I can think of for "cheap" club/night out options.

My thoughts are the following:
** HARD HARD pregame to be good and sauced up before we even leave our room - have everyone on the list at a nicer/bigger club (guy to girl will be okay I think) - go out and buy drinks as needed and just deal with no table
**Pregame - go to a nice club for a while with single drinks as needed than -- before/after that go to a place like ROK and buy some bottles there for cheap and get the table/drunk done on the cheap and "preclub" there
**Snag a wristband/All you can drink deal for those who want to drink hard, the others can just get drinks as needed from the bar and do whatever (planned on heading to the Palms anyway - thats why this is an option.

Any other suggestions to give them a great night out on a budget without me having to fork over the $$$

I was in the same position as you las tyear.

First off, contact Anthony on the Boards, he's a VIP host at Tryst and XS and will get you past the lines, comped admission at Trsyt and or XS depending on the night you go (see his threads on the forums, where you give him your info).

Secondly, some of the tier 2 clubs like (Jet, PURE, LAX) can give you a b1g1 deal if you work them hard enough, and then you can just guest list the girls in and split the cost of a single bottle.

Also, I wouldn't reccomened wasting money on bottles at a place like ROK, which would be very average compared to most Vegas Clubs and really roomy enough that you don't need to bother dropping any dough to hang out there.

Also, depending if your going during the weekday, or weekends you can snag some pretty good deals. For example, I was abvle to swing 1 bottle min at Tao on a thursday for a group of 6 guys. Location wasn't great, but it gave us a home base to operate form.

They all want an awesome night or two out but don't want to shell out the $$$ to get it.

I think something like you mentioned would be the best bet - tier 1 with just admission, no BS for a night
...and hopefully snag a BOGO somewhere at a lower level club (that isn't total trash), I'll take the brunt of the cost and hope the few can cover tips or something.

Other after thought is hitup Gold Lounge to get a good party vibe going + open bar would be awesome... then just head out somewhere after that.

Maybe my lucky streak keeps up and I'll get my ass comped like crazy and it won't be a problem.

In sort of a similar boat here. Going with a group of 11 (7 girls/4 guys) for Aug 13/14. I'm taking care of most of it, but I can't bankroll BS for Saturday night and Sunday pool. It's my girl's bday and she's most excited for the pool party, so I'm taking care of BS for that.

But now I'm looking for creative ways to get pre-party started on Saturday before we do a guest list at a club... and I saw the open bar at Gold Lounge. Anyone done it? Any feedback on Gold for a couple hours of pre-party?

I'm there with you (no birthday's though)... I'll be footing the bill for my fiance's trip (except hooker is starting to look like a cheaper option)...

Hopefully with some of the open bar deals the guys can get their hard drinking/party nights taken care of, and then for nights at a club hope that a host can set us up with a deal that will make everyone happy... I think if I was single, looking for girls with just the guys I wouldn't be so reluctant to bankroll the night - but given the actual situation where all I need to do is keep the lady happy/drunk and I'm a winner (and the fact she gets drunk on like 3 drinks) makes swiping the card for the others not really a good option.

You're covering BS at the pool- that's enough to lock down considering you'll be the one they all look at if anything get's 'split' between the group anywhere else.

Palms wristbands is solid, and Gold Lounge is gonna be fun with your crew, if pricey.

What hotel are you guys at? Can you sub out a lounge/tier 2/3 at your base hotel instead of Gold?

I don't see why it's safe to assume the guys can afford that but the girls can't. If you're on a really tight budget everyone has to contribute or you're not going to get anywhere.

Two of them have have parents that are well off, but don't know how much of that they see (neither has a job while in school).
One of the girls works but I cannot really speak on her financial situation.
The last girl is with me - still in school (has an unpaid internship - so no income besides school loans during the winter) so I'm picking up the tab hotel/flight/food/shopping/etc etc

Jockey Club - so nope on this. Figured we would do the $10/$20 open bar @ Gold


I figure for the hard drinking nights (without the girls - they'll be at Miss America stuff 2/3 nights during our stay) we can do Blondies happy hour/all you can drink, Wed @ Rockhouse for Student ID night/all you can drink (glad I hung on to mine), Gold's $20 all you can drink
Voodoo (maybe with just the guys for a night) all you can drink.... we've got lots of options for that.

Its when you add a few more mouths to feed shots into and their love of dancing it gets expensive fast. Since only one of the girls have been to vegas before (and only one of the guys besides me)... we might as well just spend the night at ROK (they won't know any better - haha).

Also if days 1-3/4 of gambling goes well, I may just take those days gambling backroll and roll it over to the food/drinks side for days 4-7 (which would for sure cover bottles)... lots to think about, ugh.

Yeah - it'll be Sunday pool and leaning toward Nikki Beach. I know Saturday is their bigger day, but it sounds like I can get a lot more bang for the buck at Nikki over EBC.

For Saturday, was looking at Gold's 20/10 open bar for pre-party. And then maybe do guestlist at Trsyt.

Haven't decided on hotel yet...was trying to figure out Sat night / Sun pool plans before deciding on hotel.

I totally agree with you! We would be upgrading to the bungalow cabanas if all the girls dropped a $100 each on our trips lol They are there more for the eye candy.

The problem is Vegas isn't cheap to party. Best bet is to do the Palms wristband one night, and get the Tao all weekend pass which includes Tao, Tao Beach, and Lavo. You could even buy pre tickets for a night at Marquee. This will solve all your admission issues and cost roughly about $125 per person. Next up pre game, pre game, pre game. Drinks run around $8 a beer and $12-15 per alcoholic drink. Nothing you can do to get around that.

While I understand everyone's financial situation is different, but Vegas is a place of excess. Bringing people who lacks cash is a buzz kill IMHO. Why not just wait 'til you all can afford it? You might feel fine footing the bills now but once you see how much you'll be forking over, trust it'll feel different. It's not just about the money, 'cause constantly thinking if you have enough of cash is going to put a cloud over your weekend.

I don't know when your trip is, but travelzoo.com has a special on TAO, TAO Beach and LAVO passes (good for an entire weekend), $30 for girls and $50 for guys, good thru August 31st. So that's a great deal to look into. As for alcohol, pre-game hard like you said because drinking in Vegas bars/clubs is not cheap. Get all the guys to pitch in for a bottle of liquor per night (Goose's like $35 from liquor stores), that's more than enough to get you nice and toasted for an evening (I'm all for females paying their share, but if it's just a few bottles at $30-$50 a pop, just stick to the guys. If you are getting BS, get the girls to chip in too given your group's overall cash flow).
