The Palms vs. PH vs. Tropicana???

JC Family,

Planning a trip for Sept. 22-25 (Thurs-Sun) and need your help picking which hotel to stay at.

Background - This will be my 2nd visit (May/2010 being the last time) and I stayed at TI. Didn't really like the vibe/atmosphere at TI as it seemed to die around 2am, when I was just getting started.

It'll be 4 guys (all 28), and 2 being Vegas virgins. I'm looking for a clean, fun hotel with some nightlife and a decent pool.

The knock on the Palms is that it's off-strip, but otherwise seems perfect. PH sounds like it has the best location and atmosphere, but I've also heard good things about Tropicana and it's recent reno's plus Nikki Beach.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The Pool at PH isn't that great, but everything else is. However, the location is great. You'll be across one of the hottest clubs in Marquee at the Cosmopolitan. PH itself is a great party hotel, with a very fun atmosphere. Walk to Bills for some cheap gambling and rowdy karoake.

For Vegas virgins, I suggest you stay away from the Palms for now. Everyone likes to walk the strip on their first trip.

As for Tropicana, the rooms are probably the best for the price, and Nikki beach is a lot better than the PH pool. However, I really don't like it's location. The clubs at MGM aren't as good as some of the ones more central and north of the strip, nightlife there isn't comparable to Cosmo or PH.

I'd definitely either go with PH, or PH Towers. You just missed the 40% off code though.

VegasLuxury - how do you mean you can get those rate for a 2 bedroom at PH? Are you a travel agent or have you just found some decent rates?

PH. They have gallery and youll be right in the middle of all the action.

No Tropicana. You will hate it. PH for sure out of those.

VegasLuxury - Thanks for the help, is there much difference between PH and PH towers? ie. the PH Towers studio suite and PH Resort Room?

Thanks for all the help. I've booked PH Hollywood Hip room Sept 21-24 and really hoping the $20 sandwich works at checkin.
