Planet Hollywood or Tropicana...help!

So I'm confused..we have a group of 4 (2 girls 2 guys) and were looking for a nice pool and a good location at a decent price...

We usually spend more money going out so the hotel itself isnt an issue..what is the general census here on PH vs Trop..

the Trop has a much better pool while I believe PH has the better Location..

Were looking to go out to a few clubs and hit the pool up on Friday and Saturday but I just can't figure out which place to stay at... Were going Aug 19-21st and I got the Trop for 305 out the door tax and resort fees included while I have PH for 250 with tax and fees included...

THis is for a basic room and I'm hoping a nice $20 dollar sandwich can get me some sort of upgrade..

Do PH towers using that 40% off Caap400 code. If you want a nice pool, get a Go Room at the Flamingo using the same code. Great location too.

Or spend a bit more, and go Caesars, the pool there is pretty nice as well. Anyways, definitely take advantage of that promo, and don't do the trop, there's a $9.95/night resort fee there as well.

Planet Hollywood is a better location but not sure about the pool and tropicana has Nikki beach and club nikki so def nice and new.... That's a toughy but I'd prob go with planet Hollywood

PH all the way, plus you can get into the Flamingo Go Pool since your staying at a TR property

I had friends stay at Tropicana a few years ago (I heard its been re-done since).... they hated it. Absolutely hated it.

I went by while I was staying at the MGM and the rooms had a very Motel 6 feel to it. The pool was nice but that is about it. Don't forget the location is also rather weak. The southern edge of the strip. The only hotels really within a reasonable walking distance are Excalibur (which is also bad), NY and MGM. PH has a MUCH better and more central location.

I haven't stayed at Planet Hollywood, but I've spent some time shopping and gambling there. The vibe is alot better. Its a mid 20's crowd with good food and nightlife.

I would suggest PH but thats just my opinion...

In my opinion....go with PH (get benefits of all the Harrah's properties plus no resort fees---sign up for Total Rewards card upon your arrival)....but visit Nikki Beach at the Trop. (talent there is very good)....FYI--Don't be surprised if the sandwich is not accepted considering it is a weekend.

Stayed at Tropicana a month ago. Definitely would do PH over Trop. I did NOT like it one bit.
