Not really a show but I'm looking to find some place to go shoot some assault rifles when we are in town.

Looked at the gun store which has some impressive packages.

    any recommendations?

Also I wondered about tipping the instructor who shows you how to use the weaponry? ? After an embarrassing time trying to tip the lady who sold tickets for the bus in NYC I realise not everyone wants to be tipped!

Every time I'm in town, I try to hit a range. I've only been to TWO ranges though. The Gun Store, and Las Vegas Gun Range. The Gun Store had more of a selection, but was pretty cramped.... the LV Gun Range was like 10min off the strip, but more room and casual.

        1. Las vegas Gun Range
-It's about 5-10min cab ride off the strip... not far though.
-Not as big of a selection as The Gun Store, but more than enough to have a good time. (Plus they have a Desert Eagle!)
-I called them up, told em I had 7-8 guys coming down, and asked if they could work something out. They threw in some targets, and I think two free pistol rentals. (We just paid for the big guns, and all the ammo... which is where they make their money anyway.)

        2. The Gun Store
-Closer to the strip (down the road from MGM/Tropicana)
-HUGE selection of guns. (Shot an AK47, M16, Glock.45, Sawed off shotgun, and a .308 Sniper rifle)
-Kinda small... and pretty busy, which made it seem more packed. Plus the instructors are nice, but they kinda sit over your shoulder and it almost feels rushed.
-Website shows they recently upgraded facilities, but I haven't seen them yet, so I can't comment on whats new.

Price is similar at both (Expect to spend around $100), although I feel like you may be able to get a better deal at #1 LV Gun Range if you call. Plus they're a little more laid back, and it's not as packed/small, so if you have a bigger party it may be a better fit.

*Also saw this place that offers clay target shooting. it's a bit of a trip, but it could be fun too. Don't have experience with it, so it's up to you to look into it further.

I've been to The Gun Store many times. It is pricey but I love their selection. I also agree it gets very busy and as it's small it's kind of cramped but I always seem to go back. Also it's a bit of a drive from the strip, probably about a $15-$20 cab ride from PH towers I think it was last time.

All the ranges are a bit off the strip. I guess it depends on your group. For me personally... I'll be in town next weekend with 8 guys. We're going to LV Gun Range. I've done it there before with a larger group, and it's so much easier.

If it were 2-3 people, I'd lean towards The Gun Store just for the variety, but any more and it's LV Gun Range.

I've booked through www.topguntours.co.uk/ for our trip in August. I'll report back once we've been but their service so far has been very professional.

I am planning on going to The Gun Store in December. I am hoping that I can work something out being that they sponsor so many mma fighters I know.
