  • Temporary Paper ID

I'm pretty late in the game, to be honest.
I didn't bother getting a government ID / learn how to drive until recently. Call it me being lazy.
A few days ago, I applied for an ID and I probably won't get my actual ID for a while. I'll be heading to Vegas in about a week or two and I was wondering if paper IDs work for getting into the bars and such?

The ID has my photo on it, which I'm assuming is the most important part, other than the birthday.

    Good luck...
my buddy lost his ID on the flight to Vegas one time. He had no substitute. When he asked about getting temporary paper ID's from the DMV, etc. casino staff said they would not accept it anyway. He may not have been persistent enough or was just unlucky, though. Do you have a passport? If so, I'd bring that along. Most places will accept a passport (although here in California they sometimes will not accept it). If you don't have a passport, be sure to bring along as many items of identification that have your name and photo on them that you own. That should help your case. Clubs will probably be stricter than casino bars and gambling.

How old are you? Do you look older than you are? My friend was 27 but looked about 15. That did not help his case.

Probably best to call the spots you are thinking about frequenting yourself, beforehand, and explaining your situation. If somebody says "no problem" make SURE you get his or her name in case a bouncer tries to flex on you.

Sorry to say but you're skrewd. Clubs are very strict. There's too much liability... If they let someone underage and that person gets hurt, abused, dies, etc. they can be held liable. So theres no sense in risking a multimillion dollar business. They arent hurting for business either.
