Hey guys, heading to Vegas next Saturday and wondering if there are any cheap liquor store for bottles/beer for our room. Last time I was there it seemed like the stores by hawaiin tropic were only selling beer/wine. Trying to find cheap place in walking distance from cosmo to get alcohol cheap. Thanks for your help.

Walgreens in city center has pretty much anything you'll need and good priced. You walk over the sky bridge towards crystals go down the stairs and follow the strip for about half a block and you're there. I did this from PH Towers, its pretty easy.June 12-15 2014 Aria

These kind of posts crack me up! Staying at cosmo but looking for cheap booze at a store. Hmmmm. identity crisis... Sorry man im not hating I just got a kick when I read this.
On the real.. They should open Costco at sahara or where stardust was. Everyone would go and buy magnums of grey goose for $50 and the clubs would have some competition. Lol** Lifestyle Entrepreneur

One option maybe to setup something with Vons - you can order food, drinks, and I belive booze is okay (its listed online - but I would call to confirm) all online and have it delivered to your hotel (first delivery is free too).... they give you like a 1/2 hour window that they'll be there and its easy as that (just gamble or something while you wait).

I've never had safeway/vons deliver to my hotel in Vegas (that's a pretty cool idea, btw), but my friends and I usually have the cab take us to vons right next to the airport after we arrive as we're on our way to the hotel. It's about a $10-15 detour for the cab, but we can get all the water, rockstars, booze, and hangover recovery snacks we need at supermarket prices. Look up the Vons on Tropicana.

Haha yeah yeah I get it. Trying to cut corners where I can. Getting bottles 2 out of 3 nights while there and alcohol in room goes quick, we are from WI and drink a lot. And I agree on the cotsco. Where in Wisconsin are you from? I'm by Stevens Point.
Our usual route to cheaper boozing in Vegas:
* usally hit up Sam's club (nowhere cheaper than Wisco Sam's Club) then everyone tosses a bottle or two in their suitcase ( you can have up to 5 liters per bag )... and one year we flew southwest so it was 2 checked bags for free, so I had an entire suitcase of just booze + 2 bottles in my normal one
* O'sheas is cheap beer
*I have a craps system that lets you play for hours and hours on almost no money (free drink while you play)... and to this date *knock on wood* I've actually only ever made money doing this (wouldn't expect those results though)
*Tequila bar @ Ballys has $2 tequila shots/$2 Tacos/$2 Margaritas
*Blondies deal is AWESOME for a Wisconsin drinker
*Out door bar on the strip side of Flamingo had $1 Leinies beers on tap other side of the wall - a VP bar had $1 blue moon on tap)
*Somewhere on the strip has $.05 PBR (not a bad place to start, because after a PBR anything tastes good
... its sucks to come from the land of 2for1 $1 bottles and $5 wristbands deals 5 nights a week

I did found a way to get a b1g1 for a $1 Michelob at the Casino Royale. There is a free promotional slot machine out front the spits out coupons. The most common is the b1g1 Michelob at the bar and its only a buck anyways. So after i get 2 drink them then go outside and get me another coupon. Come on guys that is pimping.

Its sort of a hybrid system... I posted it on another forum and no one had ever done it... it doesn't make a lot of money fast but keeps you in the game for a long long time.
*Assume the minimum is $5 on this table*
1. No point is set - placing bets for the come out roll:
I throw $5 on the Pass Line, and $5 on the Don't Pass Line (right now I'm sure you're saying - This kid is retarded...) .... with this bet 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 - worst case scenario, I break even - I will lose on either the Pass or the Don't Pass but win on the other, I break even... if it happens to be a dreaded 12 I lose $5. Based off of averages, a 12 happens every 1 in 36 rolls (assuming 100 rolls per hour in a game, 30 of those are the come out, so maybe maybe you lose $5 an hour doing this).
2. If the point is set at 6/8 I usually do nothing - sometimes if the point is 6 I will place $6/$12 on the 8 "to come" and collect my money on the 1st,3rd,5th,etc hits and press it on the 2nd,4th,6th,etc hits.
3. If the point is 4/5/9/10 I will play additional money on the "Don't Pass" line. At this point the house has a 0% edge since the probability of these numbers is inverse to the payouts...If the point is a 9 - its bet 3 to win 2 while you have 3/2 odds of the 7 coming before 5/9.
Thats it, just bet Pass/Don't pass to protect yourself on the come out roll (except the dreaded 12) .... 2-11 if you do nothing, you break even (and drink for free). If you play exactly as I do you'll bet more on the Don't Pass when its 4/5/9/10 (this is how you will slowly make some money)
... to this date (20+ casino trips) I have never walked away with less money than I started with. I would expect those results (I sure didn't) but its a super solid way to learn craps and drink for "free"
