  • Tip Hosts with Chips

Do hosts care if you tip them with chips? Not asking about smaller denominations but if I'm handshaking $500 or 1k is it ok to handshake them a purple or yellow chip? (Most likely not belonging to the casino the club resides in)

I usually change cash for chips at the casino I do all my gambling at so my comp points stay at the same place so this is really me being lazy to find the cashier at other casinos but figured I'd ask.

    Thanks!

You can. money is money. Most casinos will cash other casinos chips.

If you were to come to XS or tryst and hand me a purple or a yellow i would gladly walk my ass to the cages for you

Im pretty sure you can. I had someone order using chips at Surrender right after he won a good amount at one of the inside the club tables.

I think I also learned that casino cashiers will take other casinos chips, and change them to theirs? Is this correct?

I wonder if I could change out some of my BSM's Home Casino $25k chips... I've got a ton of 'em.

You can shake your host with chips, that is fine. As far as buying bottles, I only think its ok if gaming is allowed inside the club. Now as far as cages accepting other casinos chips, that is only ok if they are all the same company, like mgm chips at mirage or paris chips at rio.

Thats not true. I cashed and ARIA chip at Paris once. They cash them all. Most places have a book on how to spot fakes.

They either changed the rules or you got lucky b/c I was denied a few years go. It may also depend on how large the chip is

depends on where you are but you can generally exchange other casinos chips without problems. If you have banana, chocolate, flags or rasberries they are likely going to call and verify especially chips that have serial numbers and are registered to you. The only time I had hesitation was at the Wynn when a friend asked a host if he could do it and they looked at him funny until they saw the chips (he was way dressed down and is younger, but during WSOP last year).
