Crown Club Feedback?

I heard Skrillex played there during EDC week. Since its at the Rio, most of us never bothered checking it out.

Positive - they play hip hop

Negative - it sometimes doesn't draw the best crowd


IMHO don't come to Vegas looking for a similar experience/crowd you'll get in DC.

Stick to the most popular places and don't worry about the music.

they play rap n r&b but its just mostly locals there...if you wanna hear rap go to crown if you wanna see cute girls go elsewhere....marquee n tao have hip hop rooms they are small but the experience is bigger and the venues are nicer...i mean u could maybe go to crown first then go to marquee later....where yall staying?

its not like the clubs on K and 14 or UStreet in DC bc they have eye candy and Crown really doesnt

we staying at treasure island. we got a really great deal on a block of rooms....

eye candy is always encouraged on this trip. last time we came to vegas we went to XS and Tao....we not doing either this time...we probably will spread out though. I have been hearing real good things about marquee

FWIW the first time I went to Marquee I saw the best collection of black women I have ever seen at a Vegas club

PS - It still wasn't ATL or DC but after my experiences at OPM I was very happy

I always enjoy a bunch of answers from people who don't even go to the venue. Crown is the most popular hip-hop spot in Vegas (by far) on Fridays and Saturdays (ask almost any black clubber in Vegas and you will get the same answer). See www.facebook.com/CrownFridays and www.facebook.com/CrownSaturdays for actual feedback by the people who go to the venue. Always busy at Crown but I'd say 99 percent of the people from this forum haven't been there in the past 3 months - Crown doesn't really appeal to the typical "JC" crowd. But it's perfect for people who loved spots like OPM/Poetry/Ra-Thursdays back in the day...

I completely agree people will bad mouth a club by hearing another person review of it, but never had experience it for themselves. I never had a lame experience yet in a Vegas club except studio 54. I used to go to OPM every Sunday when I was in Vegas. That was my boy Suni and our spot. Like Thursday's as well as they had a 3 buck I think you call it from 10pm-12am. And people dogged that spot.
