best place for 15-20 people?

Early stages of planning for a class trip next year have begun and as the resident vegas addict I have a pretty prominent role.

The dates aren't set yet but we're looking at Thursday May 10th through Monday May 14th. The budget is pretty flexible but I am looking to get a block of rooms at a 4 or 5 star hotel for ~$3000. Any idea of how many rooms you need to get for a group discount?

Considering a bella suite at Palazzo can fit 5 comfortably I was thinking of 4 rooms there.

What other hotels should I consider?

Important things are quality (no Imperial Palace), location (central or near WynnCore) and the ability to guarantee queen beds.

I don't think you'd get a group rate with just 4 rooms. Even if you do, I don't think the discount would be very high.

If you guys are on a budget, consider the suites at PH towers, they're pretty nice and relatively cheap. Or if you decide you want like 10 rooms somewhere, I'm sure you can get a nice rate.

Have you considered Hotwire or Priceline or is that out of the question?

Use Priceline and put Five-Stars at the North End of the Strip. The only hotels that qualify are Wynn/Encore and Venetian/Palazzo.

You'll be guaranteed to get one of those places, and usually the $140/night range will be accepted.
