Vegas with GF: Encore or Cosmo or?

Hey guys, its the GFs 30th at the beginning of Dec, and shes been strongly hinting she wants me to take her to Vegas. Shes never been; I've been once for a bachelor party (stayed at MGM). I'd like to stay at a 'nice spot', and was thinking either Encore or Cosmo sounds good too (staying 3 nights)

Encore: I went to XS last time so I walked through the casino etc. and Encore looked amazing (if a little subdued). Do you think its too far North on the Strip to stay if you are going to check out shows and restaurants elsewhere (midstrip). I doubt we'd gamble much there also, and not sure about the restos (enough options? too expensive?).

Cosmo: Sounds great but never been inside. Looks better than Aria, and its pretty-strip central. Are the rooms at Encore that much nicer than Cosmo?

Bellagio rooms look pretty dated.

The encore rooms are very nice, but the location is kinda meh. However, Wynn will be Wynn and is always a great hotel.

However, if you can afford it, cosmo has a promo right now, 4 nights for the price of 3. Get a one bedroom terrace room with a bellagio fountain view, and I promise you your girlfriend will be happier with that.

Both hotels are good, but I'd go with cosmo for location, the terraces, and the view.

I vote for Encore. You don't even have to leave the Wynn properties if you don't want to for daylife/nightlife (XS, EBC/Surrender, Tryst). Like the poster above me said though, neither is a bad choice.

Ya the Cosmo terraces look sweet. Also, the package I'm looking at including breakfast buffet (I'm guessing at Wicked Spoon?), but I wonder if we'll even wake up early enough to hit that after late nights...

Encore's vibe and ambiance is more subdued and romantic but Cosmo is the hot spot right now and the view of the bellagio fountains is baller.

Both have good restaurants and day/nightlife.

I'd go with Encore if you are trying to be more relaxed. Cosmo if you want to party it up

cosmo bellagio view is a hell of a way to be introduced to vegas.

encore is more intimate and classy but cosmo is great too...also has a soaking tub and a balcony

Vdara. Stayed with my girlfriend in April in a corner suite, got an amazing deal for 5 nights. It's central strip and easy to walk to most of the places to go out. Plus it gets you away from Madness when you want some quiet time.

I've stayed at both places , I can say encore is really nice and casino is really cool u get drinks right away and free cigars , also good food only thing now encore has a resort fee like 20 dollars a day, cosmo is the hot new place got great rooms with balcony no resort fee got good places to eat specially a pizza place that's hidden and a slice o pizza is like 5 dollars , I would stay at cosmo

I stayed at the Wynn and LOVED it with the girlfriends because we love all the clubs inside plus tao is next door..but with the boyfriend since we dont club hop as much as i do with the girls, we stayed at the cosmo, it was perfect to walk anywhere and check out vegas. Both hotels are awesome but if its not totally based on night life, then i would use cosmo just for its location and the fact that the hotel is so full of life right now. They got pool tables and an awesome chandelier bar to drink at!

Unless you're saving a substantial amount of $$ at Encore, go with Cosmo. You wont regret it. There's a lot more eye-candy for women there, and you cant beat the location. Also, she'll love the close view of the fountains from your room. During the day in the desert the weather will be tolerable for the balcony. we went early Feb, and the weather felt nice out in the balcony. A light jacket will do.

I would go with the Encore. Stayed there with my gf and it was just amazing. I do want to check out the Cosmo one of these days too though. I think either choice will be great for ya.
