Moorea cabana needed?

So the wife and I will be at MB next weekend and plan to visit Moorea on Sunday, July 16th. We get free admission to Moorea with our package. The cheapest cabana rental is $300. Apparently that is just the fee to use it and doesnt include any F&B. With just the 2 of us this could be more expensive than I am looking to spend for the day at the pool. Is it necessary to have a rental? My wife will want a chair. Is it possible to get a chair with some shade without the big rental charges if we show up early enough?

I'd like to know the same thing as I'll be there a week later and we plan on hitting here as well since we're staying Mandalay Bay.

The chairs are very easy to get and very comfy. It's nice to sprawl out on a day bed so you may want to look into that

Spending $ just rent a cabana is a waste. You should definitely get the chairs.
