I think that these days Tao has WAY more talent and vibe than Nine. While Nine used to kill it a few years ago, last time I was there it was pretty chill. Good (not exceptional) food, but nowhere near the crowd that it used to draw. Tao on the other hand will have a half dozen bachelorette parties at the tables facing the Buddha, good times in the lounge beforehand, and lots of socializing opportunities. I dig the food as well. If you prefer a steakhouse, I've heard STK at the Cosmo is crushing it, and will report back after we eat there this Saturday night before Marquee. Another cool steakhouse option is the Golden Steer. Not a lot of talent, but killer old school Vegas vibe. You can sit where Elvis or Sinatra used to sit. Del Frisco's is also all world. Hope this info helps, and enjoy your trip.

In that case, best bet is to go to Carnevino @ Palazzo. Get the Porterhouse Reserva (be sure to contact them for your cut of meat 2 weeks ahead of time - the steaks are aged 240 to 260 days).Originally posted by JoeDet View PostBased on quality of food alone I would go with 9. You're a man and its your last meal, get the biggest F'ing steak you can find!

I'm in a similar dilema... trying to decide between Carnevino and CUT. I don't see the point in a "scene" for dinner... just the best quality food.

I've done both, and honestly, if you're not getting the Porterhouse Reserva, CUT has better steaks.Originally posted by Mr Blond View PostThose are some great pictures!Originally posted by BSM View PostIn that case, best bet is to go to Carnevino @ Palazzo. Here's a review I did for CUT on my website, which reviews steakhouses around the country.
