So we stayed at Caesar's Palace this past week for the first time. Worst mistake we've made so far in choosing hotels. Here's what happened...
We arrive at 1pm to check in. Were told we can't check in until between 3-5. So we "pre" checked in, and were given our room number and keys. Not a HUGE problem, especially since they weren't checking cards/IDs at the pool, though it's the first time we've not been able to check in early. We decided to call at about 3:30 -- our room is still not ready. 4:30pm rolls around, and our room is FINALLY ready. Thank goodness!
We were told we could go get our keys activated at the Bell desk, but when we arrived there, they told us we had to go back to the front desk and wait in the KEY line (so apparently this was not a one time thing-). After getting our key, we went up to our room. ONLY TO FIND THEY HAD DOWNGRADED US!! Not only that, but the room was shitty and there were wet stains on the carpet.
So we went BACK to the front desk. Not only did they not apologize, but they gave us all they could -- a smoking room. Disgusting! We had specifically requested a non-smoking room as my friend has allergies. The only thing that saved our room was the whirlpool bath tub.
Needless to say, the ONLY reason we're going back is because after complaining on their Facebook, a manager contacted us and we have been comped 2 rooms in the future -- not even now.
