XS Friday Night (need advice)

Hey all, wanted some input from you guys about our plans on friday night.

7 guys, including myself, will be hitting up XS on Friday night and getting bottle service. We were given the price of $450/bottle and a $500 tip for the staff to get a table in the middle of everything. We are going to be getting 3 bottles so we are looking somewhere around $2k total.

Sound reasonable? Do you think this tip includes the host sandwich, waitress tip, security tip, and whomever else needs tipped?

Dont forget auto grat/tax if you guys are planning on splitting the costs.

I would check where "right in the middle" is located. It seems like even with a $500 tip to the host, your minimum is really low (particularly for a group of 7). Would love to know the actual table location. Check this site for a detailed list of table numbers. It would be prudent to check which table exactly you can get:

Last year I had table 30 for 2 bottles + 500$ handshake with 8 guys. table was in between the outside and dance floor.

I am guessing when someone says I want to do 2 bottles and have a inside/danceflloor table the host will give the option for more bottles or tip.. thats how it went down for me

Well he came recommended, and ive read good reviews from JC members. Perhaps it is because I asked for a good table, and not something in a corner?

Its pretty much common knowledge that you have to tip to get a better location though. So either ways maybe he just wanted to made sure. Also XS is a place you get a lot of newbie clubbers in there, and a lot of them don't really know how things work.

Looks like you have a good host that I need to get in touch with. Could you PM me his name?

I must be the idiot here as I have been quoted (for a Friday night with only 6 guys) upwards of $6k+tip for main room 3rd tier or $5k + tip for the stripper pole area in the main room.

Question for the group, should I be more up front about a tip? i.e. should I listen to the quoted rate and then ask "what if I provided you with a $500 tip, could you be more flexible with pricing terms?" What's the right approach?

Wherever you get your table, by the way XS was insane July 1st Friday, at least don't be that table with just guys and absolutely no girls...you'll look thirsty.
So you gotta get security and you gotta have security supply the eye candy.
